These are photos of my first musume, Sylvia. I actually don't know anything about White Album and just kind of fell in love with Rina's look, even though Yuki was worth more. Actually, funny story, I was actually going to buy Yuki because the store I went to said Rina was completely booked out by other customers, but due to some money and scheduling issues, I missed the opportunity to buy Yuki for 6,000 Hong Kong.
Then I went to this wonderful store called JR Toys nearby Dollfie World http://www.dannychoo.com/post/en/25515/Dollfie+World.html. After hunting around and giving up on getting a dollfie, I saw Rina in JR Toys and apparently someone gave her up because he couldn't pay for her, so I bought her immediately and sneaked her back home. :)
If anybody's wondering, she's watching Toy Story 3, when Ken first catches sight of Barbie.
When all the adults went off to dinner, Sylvia couldn't help but play with their mah jong set.
Oh so sad that you can't buy yuki but you are still lucky to get rina.^^

She was always the one I wanted in the first place so I'm not sad at all! Though missing the opportunity to earn a massive amount of cash is kind of disappointing.

Congrats on getting Rina! I was actually talking to JR Toys via eBay to negotiate a good price for Rina but I found a much better deal on Mandarake. ;)
What did you get from this site? And I've never heard of Mandarake before, but already it seems like it has a superb catalog to order from, thanks for sharing it. :P
JR Toys actually prefer to handle in person if possible due to how difficult it is to put their entire selection of items online and how much Ebay charges for service fee's I think. Of course, not everyone can go to Hong Kong on a whim to buy a doll, but if you could you should really go check it out.
I actually got Rina from Mandarake. :) Their prices are really good... This was my first time dealing with them but I'll be sure to check them out in the future.
Yeah, eBay does cause the price of an item to go up pretty bad... That was part that killed the deal between JR Toys and myself. $100 for S&H was a bit much... They were willing to knock it down but even after that it was too far above what Mandarake was asking. Next time I'm in Hong Kong I'll have to try and spin by their shop... (although that'll be a few years I think)

No, made a custom DD DY with head #02, then got Alna White Christmas Ver. recently.
Is a custom DD cheaper to get? How much was it in HKD? And Alna's really pretty, I wanted to adopt her too, but then I saw Rina and Rina's price was lower than Alna's at that point.
I spent about HKD 5400, for the parts and clothes. Did the face up myself, not the best but i'm satisfied after messing up a few times. You can see the result from my older posts.
I saw your photos, she looks really nice! I personally don't like the large bust but I'm not going to judge lol We should have our girls hang out over summer if you're in Hong Kong.

Nope, just in Torrance, CA as far as the US goes. There are several Volks stores in Japan, and one in Seoul, S. Korea if my memory serves me right. But Torrance is the only one in the US. However, there are licensees in the US who carry Volks dolls.

I actually didn't know she came with this! I opened the box and I guess Volks gives a yellow jacket along with her normal outfit? I really like it too, it WAS her everyday stay-at-home jacket when she isn't all dressed up for photo shoots :) She likes it because it's so soft, comfy and loose, not like that tight uniform.
Wow, freebies from Volks? How cool! XD It sure looks comfy tho, just like you said. No wonder she is sporting it around! But sometimes tight is good... ^_^
