I just wondering , how many user of figure.fm using DSLR Camera
actually i just have an interest in photography around this year , and now i use my parents camera.8D

This are my camera , there are D90 , D100 , D300 .
Actually i really want to try a camera that have a full sensor >.<

A 17-35 lenses , wide one .

A 1:2 macro lenses , i think it is good enough to shot some figure .

i get this lense after i bought nikon D90 .
btw which one do you like ? nikon ? Canon ? or Sony?

I think you'll find that quite a few members use DSLRs. Me, I'm still getting along with my canon compact but I really feel it's limitations these days. But I'm not ready to go DSLR yet...
Since my sister took the point-and-click digital camera to China, I'm reduced to using my father's Nikon D100 DSLR.
wow D100?? how old is that camera ?
i forget when was my father bought that camera too, i think its around 7 years ?
Might be even a bit older.
Also have some additions, longer lens, etc. etc.
But all I want is my trust point and click...
as of this summer i'm a canon 40d user ^^ i have no strong opinions on canon vs. nikon or sony so this is in no way meant to be a, "canon is best" comment.
would love to add some more lenses to my collection, but for now it's just a kit (18-55) and macro (1:1 100mm. not the new L one thou :P). since 90% of my shots are for figure reviews i'm mostly shooting with the macro ... hard to justify purchasing expensive glass ^^;
When the time comes I'll be a Nikon D90 owner. But right now I've not got a DSLR.
My Lumix LX3 is on it's way so I guess I've got that.
Using a Nikon D80~ =)
So many bodies. My heart just skipped a beat.
I'm a Canon DSLR shooter. The one I use most for figures is my 100mm macro, but I also use a 24-70mm L, an 85mm, and a 300mm L as well :)
Canon 40D (though soon to be upgraded) and 100mm macro. The 100mm macro is currently the ultimate Canon lens for figure photography. A pretty reasonable price for such a high quality lens too. Got a few other lenses laying around for non-figure purposes ^^.
You don't say.. hmm.. Been looking at some Macro lenses. i'll give that one a shot. :)
I currently use a Canon EOS 400d/Rebel XTi/Kiss2. I hope to be able to upgrade to a Canon EOS 50D soon. and get me a couple more lenses.
Here's my imaging armory
Nice DSLR there~
I'm waiting for the in-depth review on the upcoming Canon 7D~
Here my Imaging Armory
Nice imaging Armory too~~
damn, i really want to buy that ricoh self retaining lense cap . but i don't know where to buy in my country .
>.<
oh yeah actually i also use Lumix LX-3 too , i think its because of dannychoo influence LOL
*Hi-5* of Danny's influences ^_^
Have an older Canon 20d, 18-55mm kit lens, 28-105 (from much older Canon) and bought a used 50mm macro for figure shooting. I like it over the 100mm as the smaller sensor makes the 50mm an equivalent of an 85mm lens.. nice for portraits.
Temp Nikon D70 User over here.... with 18-70mm DX Lenses. =3
I am the only Sony/Minolta man left! I just got my Alpha 900 a few weeks ago and I have been having a blast using my old Minolta glass, (35-70 f4, 70-210 f4.5-5.6, 50 f1.7 and a Vivitar 19-35.) I can use wide angle lenses since this is a 24.6 Megapixel full frame DSLR! I had to buy it for my class and for more conventions and other things like figure photography. Sony has the only full frame DSLR for under $2000! I love it!
Alpha 900!! nice one >.<
a full frame DSLR ! and i don't know why , the price in my country is more than $2000 i think it is around $3500 ?
eh? only sony? i think canon and nikon both have a full frame dslr. i think the EOS5D from canon and Nikon D700 are full frame ones which came years back.

i think NMOtaku means that , sony sells a full frame camera that is cheaper than $2000 .
nikon and canon sells it more expensive
^^
I know other camera makers made full frame DSLRS over the past decade, but none under $3000 (US) and over 20 megapixels. I already had an investment in Minolta AF glass, and would be to expensive to switch systems. I was happy when this camera came out. It took me a while to get it, but I love to use it!
That's a lot of DSLR...
I myself uses the Canon Rebel T1i or the 500D...
I need more lens...I need a macro lens and an external flash for my shoots...
I don't really care when it comes to brands of DSLR. To me, as long as it works, it's all good.
I got into photography last year...so I'm still improving...
Most of my figure pictures were shot with my Nikon D60 and a Tamron 90mm f/2.8 Macro.
Why do you have the desire for a full-frame sensor DSLR? It's not going to automatically give you better pictures. I might see some advantages in switching to a full-frame, like more shallower depth-of-field for an artistic effect, or cleaner, higher ISO for low-light pictures(only Nikon D700+D3, the competition aren't as good with high ISO).
If, however, you are lusting after a full-frame sensor DSLR for the status or gadget-love, nothing wrong with that either. ^^;
Ow tamron 90 mm f2.8 macro ??? how much is it ? when you buy it??
thats a nice lense>.<
$400 US dollars, after rebate. I bought it recently.
Use a wide angle lens for a film camera onto the APS-C sized sensor. The perspective is only around normal, not the wide angle desired. Also, finding lenses under 20mm are expensive and only produce a modestly wide angle effect on APS-C sensors. I find that I use wide angle shots a lot and a APS-C sensor would only let me down; so full frame is the only way for me to shoot.
I have a Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8, available for the Nikon F mount for $600 USD, equivalent to 35mm film 16.5-24mm.
Then there's the other wide-angle zooms from Tamron, Sigma, and Nikon that start at 10mm, equivalent to 15mm on full frame. The full-frame wide-angle lenses from Nikon are the 14-24mm f/2.8 and the 14mm f/2.8 prime. The APS-C lenses are wide-enough for me.
haha, I use my Nokia N85 as my camera, it works and the pictures are decent....as long as the light is there (^_^)
:( i want a new lens :D
well dslr is quite usefull especially the manual focus
Canon KissX2 (450D, Rebel XSi in other countries) user here...:) check out my flickr for sample photos
