Nintendo 3DS

So the day has finally come and North America gets its release date for March 27. Me personally, I've got my system reserved but am still on the fence on whether to wait for more games to come out to get one. They only games that's making me get the 3DS is Megaman legends 3 and Paper Mario among others but even those game don't have a solid release date. It may be until fall that I can finally get my hands on them.
So what about you guys? Holding off due to the price/lack of games that cater to your personal tastes. Or are you the early adopter no matter what?
For me, with any consoles, I tend to wait a while until they have a good collection of games that I'm interested in.
The nintendo 3ds looks promising, might get oneself, but that will probably be a year after it's been released

to tell the truth. 250 IS what i thought at first so im good with and i already reserve it at gamestop, its a day one for me. for console, i can wait when it actually have good game and maybe get it one or two years later, but hanheld i tend toget it on day one
Don't know if I'll get it right away, but I'm hoping there would be some 3D movies released for this, but I could be just fantasizing too much. But I am looking forward to Megaman Legends 3 as well.
Nintendo have made a point of the fact that the 3DS plays 3D movies, so your fantasy is probably pretty realistic!
Yah, I'm hoping it'll be the case. It's just a matter of making contract with the movie makers to release their movies on the 3DS now ^^ Not sure what Nintendo has announced officially about this so far.

I went with the blue too. My current DS is black and attracted lot of finger prints so I'm hoping the blue is a bit more incognito with the smudges. Plus I just got tired at staring at a black DS ... didn't sound racist-- at all.... XDDD
Get a white one. Fingerprints on my Lite is virtually invisible. haha racist. XD

It's going to be region locked. . . Disappointing. But I want just to play DOA.
I'm going to wait. Nintendo always comes out with better colors later anyway. And who knows, maybe if I wait long enough Nintendo will release another generation of the 3DS.. Like a 3DS Slim or something. I wouldn't be surprised.
Yeah definitely, they've gotta address that short battery life somehow. My favorite thing about my ds is not having to worry about charging it. I could go a week or so without having to charge it. 3-5 hrs on 3D mode is quite the stint but I saw it coming due to the amount of hardware the battery has got to power.
I currently have one reserved not for personal use, but for reselling if there is actually a shortage. Aside from that I will get one for myself when they have a themed one I really like. In terms of game library, they really need more games that are not just a port from the console version with 3D.

I will def. get one this year, but will wait a couple months after release date.
I need a new DS anyways, as mine is on it's last final leg.... it'll make it on life support for a few more months and then we shall upgrade!
The DSi overall looks interesting for me for Japanese language educational games like kanji training and things like Love Plus. So if the DSi XL drops in price with this new 3DS coming out might nab one.
The price really scared me but if its in the least bit possible i'll probably buy one on the release day.

I'm seriously considering it just to play Tales of the Abyss on a handheld (not that that's the ONLY game I want XD ), but since I'm in Japan, I'm wondering if I should get one here or wait until I'm back in the states...
Do we know if anything is region locked yet?
Its been said that it's going to be region locked but didn't say to what extent. Im hoping its only to the extent of the nintendo store to buy digital content and not to the cartridge side.
Pre ordered mine yesterday, no idea what the launch titles will be over here, and I'll probably still be playing pokemon black/White when it's out, but I'll still be getting me one :D
I am getting this on release day itself. My 6 years old DS needs a new buddy to take it's place :P
Gonna wait for price drop/slim version.....also, I want to see if there'll be good games down the line. I don't want there to be Resident Evil, MGS, Street Fighter and such only once and never again. I want more games like that, but consistently.
I'll be getting the JP version at some point because while I do like playing games from all regions, on balance I play more Japanese games than anything else so if I have to choose that's what I'll go with. I can't afford it right away though, and none of the release games are very interesting to me.
Also, there's no way I'd buy it here in the UK, which has the highest price of the lot at the equivalent of $368.
I'm most likely going to get one eventually, but after some more titles come out. Currently, the only ones I'm interested in are Kingdom Hearts 3D, Samurai Warriors Chronicle, and the MGS 3 remake.
Is it actually region locked ? Saw some games I liked @ AmiAmi for the 3DS.
Even at that price point, people are going to buy it. Handhelds are Nintendo's bread and butter.
