Very nice pictures. I tried a 1080p setting on my camera, but I noticed that the video started to get rather choppy due to slower frame rate. Works better with 720p.
yah only 24fps for 1080p but 30fps for 720p ^^
my point and shoot sony tx7 does 30fps at 1080p~
so I just bought a dslr w/o recording function :P

I'm impressed with the image quality. Much nicer than the D5000, I've been telling people to get a D3100 instead of one.
Video looks nice, too, I think it's better than the 720p output from my D300s. I'm in the market for a new Nikon myself, just can't decide if I'm gonna get a D700 or wait for the D800 and the 1080p it'll almost certainly do.
Impressed with the video... of course when you pan you have to do slowly. I think this camera (at it's price point) replaced my Nikon from a few years ago. I might have to upgrade because I would like to do a little video once in a while. Thanks for posting the sample. :3
