Alna: As you can see it could take 1600 x 1200 pictures and capture video at 640 x 480! :D
Me: Well, it's nice but how much it cost??
Alna: It can even swap out a lens!!

Alna: Hum, you can trust me it's cheap, REALLY cheap...

I'll admit, it's pretty cool. Too bad Agatha doesn't have much of an interest in photography, though I probably couldn't get it even if she was. XD
The sample pics that they took looks really really lousy even worse than my 10 year old webcam LOL
XD Guess that makes sense, given that it doesn't appear to have ANY type of viewfinder, and is itsy bitsy.
if the pics alone are that terrifying just imagine how the "stunning" the videos will turn out XD
As it's only a toy, it seems you can't get serious pics or vids with it^^

Price to quality ratio is just ridicules. And it's DSLR naming is incorrect. It's more of an EVIL(Electronic Viewfinder Interchangeable Lens). Without the EV part that is. Its just to small to fit a DLSR system.
@Alna: I think you need to go find a job. Or do some chores around the house. Cause I think you are paying for this one your self. ;)

Its expensive for sure but just the thought of a camera that size that WORKS is really cool. We are slowly geting closer and closer to the "Ghost in the Shell" future I always wanted to live in... XD

Well, Manami has a different camera but I suppose it works just as well and it was A LOT cheaper than this one! XD I'll probably just stick with it for now. ^_^
Heh, Thermoptic Camo could be bad to have installed on your girls. I know if Manami could be invisible, it would be terrible for her sisters! Ecchi Manami would be in heaven with all the free grabs and gropes!

I kinda think that if you're collecting DDs already, 165 isn't really that expensive when you compair that to some of the outfits we'll get for the girls...
I've already spend more than 10x165 on DDs and spending 165 for my daughters once in a while is ok because I'm working and have a suitable salary.
BUT there is already lots of DD size camera for 10-50$, I don't want to pay +100-150$ only because "it's working".
All in all there is only one DD size item I would pay +100-150$ because "it's working", it's the Dollfie Dream herself =D
fun pictures and your Alna is very cute! I am one of the nutjobs who shelled out on the USB Canon DSLR. The ChobiCam is cute but even that is a price barrier too far since the incidence of you actually using it to take pictures will be small.

Too bad about the price. If there's one thing I've realized about Dollfies, though, it's that while they may be smaller than us, the prices sure aren't!

Saw that mini cam float around on Twitter a while ago. Quite neat and great little gadget but bit too expensive for what it delivers I fear.

Yes I think so, it's a small camera even for DD, it may fit MDD better. I have the USB Canon DSLR and when I put it on my hand it's nearly twice Chobi Cam size, and I don't think I have small hands.
I agreed that 165$ is too pricy (T-T) but looks like she really want this camera ;3

I absolutely MUST keep this info away from Yumiko. MUST. That is about half the price of my Nikon p100. But knowing Yumiko, she will hassle me for this. Well, missy, this is where I draw the line in the sand...THIS FAR AND NO FURTHER. You are NOT getting this. You will have prop cameras and you will LIKE THEM. Period. End of story. I will go to the wall for you, even build you stuff. But a prop that costs half the price of a Dollfie Dream 2 body, head and pair of Animetic eyes is A BRIDGE TOO FAR.

Besides, she does have a real working camera. It's a bit biggish but it can be used as a webcam and as a still cam at VGA resolution.

And it cost $10 at Walgreens. Much better. I think Walgreens still has them. Vivitar hasn't been a good name in cameras for decades but at least it works.
It's a nice little camera you got here! But what du you mean by "Theoretically this camera is a working camera"? Did you finally made a try?
I haven't used it as a camera yet. And to be perfectly honest, considering the other stuff I have, I really don't want to hassle it. It would mean installing proprietary software on my computer and a lot of fuss and bother I don't want to deal with.
