Shocked Therapy
And I was about to forget this incident... ^^;

Just a few hours ago I received this rather surprising email from Otacute... As I am reading the contents I was like 0_0 and @_@... This is the email in mind...

Dear yunamon (Replaced from my real name),
I am sending this E-mail because the other day, one of our workers saw your blog and we felt terrible about what happened to your order. We are responsible for all causes because if we did not send your order with a beer cardboard, the custom did not open the box for inspection.
We all understand that why you would not shop with us any more. However, since it was our 100% fault, we would like to make it up to you, if
possible.
If it is not being rude to you, we would like to ask you to receive our one of figmas listed below. This is a just meaning of we are sorry.
1) figma Takamachi Nanoha Barrier Jacket Ver.
2) figma Hiiragi Kagami Winter School Uniform ver.
3) Figma Asakura Ryoko School Uniform Ver.
4) Figma Ryomou Shimei
5) Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS figma Signum Knight Ver.
6) Figma Izumi Konata Summer School Uniform ver.
Please accept our apology, and we are so sorry about the shipping box.
We highly value our customers and listen to our customers' opinion to improve our service quality. So if you have any concerns about Otacute(Brand new website), we are happy to listen to it.
Once again, we are sorry about that, and we will make sure that it will not happen to anyone again. And I would personally like to apologize for that incident as a figure collector.
Yuhei
The Otacute team
Engrish aside, this is what I've managed to catch from reading the email: Otacute is very sorry about the beer package and would like to offer one of the mentioned Figma as a token of apology. :3
I'm guessing this line is the reason they reacted... ^^;
"Harsh handling of my country's postal service x Otacute's choice of packaging... Sake!? X3 No more orders from you from now on, Otacute!"
Well Otacute... Your apology is duly accepted...
In truth I don't really mind of the damage at all and that line was intended as a joke. But perhaps your professionalism dictates your responsibility to apologise to me and amending strained relationship between you and your customers...

For this I bow before thee, in honour for the spirit of your utmost care for your customers... It's really rare to see such admirable after sales customer care any longer in these times...
Amongst the Figma offered, I had my eyes on Signum... So she'll be the bridge to close the gap between us... ^_^ Rest assure I will visit your online store again in the future if you have something I want and my budget permits... ^^;
Me aside, several other comrades also faced the same beer package problem as well... And this is our advice to you: invest in a more reliable and thicker danbooru, similar to that of Hobby Link Japan and Hobby Search... ^_^
Another note, please do not mind if I ask you this: a certain blog-reading worker you've mentioned before... Is he/she a regular in dannychoo.com/figure.fm or Twitter? This is perhaps the most possible areas that have links to my blog or else he/she wouldn't have taken notice of my post on the sake incident... ^^;
Archived at the Republic...

Wow, so Otacute does value their customers to a certain degree. WHen i heard about you "Ojou-sama Sake Incident" it made me thought that Otacute is not offering a well managed service to their customers but this article proved me wrong.
Will do a purchase on them given the chance to get a first hand experience on what they are like in terms of packaging and handling if they are to ship in PH.
Should be no restrictions on shipping to your location I suppose...
This made me hesitate to order X3
I thought it's the other way around? X3
Wow, really nice of otacute to do that for you. Findding an online store with that good customer service is rare nowadays. Thumbs up to you otacute!
It would seems to me that Japanese online stores are better at customer care...
HLJ once mixed up my Gundam parts order and sent the wrong ones to me... However, they sent the correct ones later on with no charges at all after I emailed them about the mix up... =D
I think these companies should hire some gaijin to work with them to reply with better emails..
wow they do have great service.. but I doubt they'll do that too often.
Anyway... they probably offered you a figma to help with advertisement of their company... Plus they're getting rid of some old stock, if you think about it... it's a really cheap form of advertising.
They spend about 4000 yen and they catch about 2000+ viewer's attention.
Well... It's the way it is... You scratch my back and I'll do the same in return...
In this case you gimme figure and I let the world knows about it in my blog... =>
Hahaha....then let's make more "I don't want to buy anymore comments" and get more free Figmas. lol
LOL You wish... X3
Oah, that's... That'ssss.... O[]O"
In here, a token of apology would be a discount where you'd buy any item with a certain percent discount.
When they said it'll be 50%, then any item you buy will be 50% off. One item, though ><
It's pretty rare to find a take-for-free apologize here...
I can safely say I've yet to encounter such offers... They just stuff your face with their supposed "Goods sold are not returnable" terms...
Still waiting on my Drossel from Otacute but this is a good sign that should something be wrong with my order, they are responsive towards their customers. Service like that puts them at the top of my list for any future orders. Hope they keep up the good work.
Will visit them more from now on... :)
Wow, that's really surprising, how nice of them. ^^ I wish I had gotten an e-mail too for my Otacute order... But my complaints weren't as big XD
(Note to self - Complain more XD)
LOL Don't do that too often tho... Or you'll be summed together under the pesky customer category... ~_^
I'd dread to think what they would do then OoO
Are they a new shop? Can't seem to find any background info or about us page on the site...
The site seems rather clunky too. Its hard to navigate through the items and browse them by categories like series, manufacturer etc. ^^;
Ooh my bad, did not spot the drop down menu box for the series and manufacturers >.<
Looks quite new... I was introduced to this site a few weeks ago via comrade Veloxiraptor during one of our Ojou hunts...
Well, look at the good side. You don't have the small-free-stuff, but now you're offered a bigger-free-stuff XD
Tha't what surprised me the most when I first read the e-mail... 0_0
Oh, wow, that's so nice! I was a little weary of buying from Otacute because I hadn't heard much about them, but after something like this, I'll put them on my OKAY~ list. You have to admire someone who is willing to take responsibility in such a manner. :]
I hesistated at first as well... But Otacute is the only shop that has Ojou in stock at that time...
same for me, but I really wanted Ojou as well!
Same here. Nevermind the swine flu, beware the ojousama fever. LOL
OMGoddess LOL XD =D =3
I salute them for taking up the responsibility fully, this is a crucial part I'm always looking in life.
Since they are still pretty new in the market, they made the right choice to save their reputation.
And I bow to their spirit... ^_^
BONUS!
Mouikkai desu wa~? X3
That's very unexpected. Although I've never ordered anything from Otacute, It is still nice of them to offer something to keep the gap between their customers closer. Nice choice for the bonus figma (^^)
Thought so... The other choices aren't too extravagant... Not fans of Ikkitousen and I want Lolinoha instead... ~_^
Wow, I don't think I have ever seen customer service like that before. They probably want good reviews since they are new, and want to fix any problems the best they can.
I think I might just give them a try now. I have been to their site before but haven't ordered anything.
Now to think about it... Are my words/posts really that powerful to influence other comrades? 0_0
*The Force is strong in this one...*
Guys totally give Otacute a try, I bought from them, and it was great, they even threw in a keychain. Support the new guys! xP
Sounds like really great news yunamon. And good choice on Signum, shes a really cool figma.
I have no keychain... TT_TT
I think I may try Otacute out now... :D I actually have never heard of them before.
Well their processing of shipping is fast, that I can guarantee...
WOW , again WOW @_@ , I have never seen such fine Customer Service in these times of Economical Downturn .
I should say that OtaCute really deserved A Gold Medal not just for their kind Apology but also of there very Fine Customer Service .
I think that the OtaCute Worker can be anyone of us . Lurking each one of there Buyers .
*Look at all directions ala Zetsubou Sensei...*
So I guess I will be pre-ordering from them. ^ ^;
I have a Nendoroid from them coming, I will see how that turns out.
Which Nendo are you getting...?
Hatsune Miku. I may preorder Figma Nanoha 1st Movie ver. from them, but they are on vacation right now. ^ ^;
Excellent customer service, m(_ _)m I'll check the site from here on
Another testament to Otacute's incredible customer service. I also had an issue with my Figma Hayate at Otacute, you might wanna check it out :)
It's already almost a month since Otacute's promise to sent me a free Signum but she'd yet arrive... 0_0 Perhaps I should contact them about it...
LOL...and here I was about to commend them for a good job. XD
Anyway, they were ethical and very professional about the free offer.
Good job, Otacute!
Nice to hear that they're doing that for you.
...but more importantly, who did you pick?
Signum desu wa! You've probably have seen my Zygnum Warrior mecha musume... XDc
