So I thought i.d just ask. I.ve been roleplaying for four years now, and recently got into live action. Anyone here do the same? We have quite a few otakus at my LARP place, Skully, so I was thinking if other otakus do it too? Thanks for looking XD

Im not very good at making costumes & neither have the money to buy them which is a shame:( as id love to.
I did cosplay & roleplay as reno for FFVII on my 18th bday.
but i cheated a little and just bought the wig, wore a suit and picked up a stick.. *sigh*
ah well.
If i could get my hands on a decent Zidane Tribal Costume.
then the heavens will open up for me >w<
My first costume (I'm a girl) came out of my own wardrobe! I own a LOT of long skirts, LOTS of corsets and shirts, so I wore that! I now have my first LARP dress, which my brother bought for me (55 pounds of silk and crushed velvet, and a 25 pound necklace that maches it from another one of my brothers - I'm extremly spoilt haha :3) Try roaming around charity shops, they have the best stuff, got a proper LARP jacket that came from LRP store for a fiver! Don/t give up, and good luck! ;D
More of a text-based role player myself.
Same here, I am usually on MSN roleplaying, or I gthink I'm joining in a Star Trek tabletop.
No LARPing here for a while. And then, it was only in relation to my other regular RPG playing (The Living City LARPS.) Otherwise, not really my thing. But I get the motivation, and it can be pretty fun.
Yeah, exept when you 'monster' in mine and don't count the hits, they tend to hit harder. Very thin foam katana on back = PAINFUL D:
