Evangelion 2.0 screening
Wed 2011/01/26 02:35 JST
Recently went to my first screening of Eva 2.0 (Fourth time I've watched it though XD)
Again! Great movie!
horrible quality pictures, but I thought I should share anyway XD'

Just wondering, was it Eng dubbed or Jap with Eng Subs?
jap with subs, still liked it though
ah man, I should have went to go watch it than... i was told by many many sources (including calling the theaters), and they all said it was Eng Dubbed... so wasn't interested (>.<)
thanks for your reply thou (^^)
well I would've gone regardless, Im curios as to what mari will sound like ^^
Gantz was dubbed. It made sad > <
yeah since it came out early I thought oh of course subs it starts I hear eng me: "f*ck"
Yeah, GANTZ was total fail dub. However, to be fair, Eva 1.0 dub was actually pretty well done. Saw it at AX last year. Funimation did well on their Summer Wars dub too. Funi can be pretty good on that score...IF they use their "A" people for direction and dubscript.
GANTZ dub reminded me of the lame dubs they did on Kaiju movies back in the '60s and '70s, and also the cheesily dubbed Kung Fu movies of that era.
AW!I really wanted to see the gantz screening, but I had to work! ><
Was it busy?
it was pretty full, I didnt expect that many people. Me and my friend couldn't find seats haha so I had to sit next to a smelly fat dude, worth it though.
I haven't seen it yet as it is not showing in theaters around here. And I waiting till the BR gets here so I can watch it on my home screen in the highest quality. Till then im abstaining.
Im going to see it this week it was a good movie!!!!
Wow.... so lucky i wish we had a theatrical presentation here in the UK..... :p
Actually there was one last year at the BFI in London. They showed both 1.01 and 2.0 together.
Awww man I wish I knew about it at the time :(
Me and my friends went to the showing in Atlanta, GA for 2.0 Probably the 5th time i had seen the movie, but I did like that it was the actual theatrical release and not just someone playing a DVD on a big screen. Some scenes were left out and animation was a bit different since it was the original version. So that was fun.
Either way I had a blast, and it was very awesome seeing it on the big screen :D
I was debating on going to that theater in Indianapolis! D: I had work that night, though, and my boss wouldn't let me call in. :'( I've seen it, though.. ^^; Purchased the bluray copy of it while I was in japan last Summer. :) Fantastic movie!
Yeah thats where I went. haha i was also in japan this past summer haha
It's going to be at Downtown Independent for two weeks starting this Friday.
http://www.downtownindependent.com/ . Neat place, within easy walking distance of Little Tokyo. Awesome rooftop bar and kibitz area too! DI is a historic venue...it was heavily remodeled but this originally was the Toei Linda Lea theatre, where Kurosawa Akira's movies would show first when they hit Los Angeles. One of Quentin Tarantino's favorite places.
