Mim's Jan Loot
Hai everybody!
I hope you all had a great xmass, new years eve and enjoyed the remainder of your respective holiday breaks leading into January. This month round I bout a number Nendo's and assorted other items from almost all my various sources ending up with more than I had origionaly thought I would, but there were a lot of opportunistic buy's that I realised I had to make now rather than later. This was to get items that were likely to prove very hard to get later, if at all, or items that were simply being sold at a really good price.
The mother load.
Naturally I picked up the next Otacool book, which I was initially annoyed at due to its size, which is a decent amount larger than the earlier three editions of the book, but after having a good look through it I realised that the larger size was needed to do justice to all its beautifull content so all is forgiven. I also got a hard case for my 4g iPhone and a new mouse mat. Its a really nice mouse pad that has a 3D effect as you move it back and forth where it changes between two images. Almost too nice to use but at $20 Aud from AmiAmi it was a great buy. One was released for each of the three girl pilots in Evangelion and is a nice option for those who want something safe (non Oppai) for their work PC in the office.
With the addition of the case I finally have a fully themed iPhone based on Auska out of Evangelion. Both the the protective sticker film covering the entire face plate and the hard case were purchased from AmiAmi for a nominal price of around $10 Aud each. Half the people seing the handset are unsure as to the brand of the phone to begin with, but still think its cool none the less ^^"
The back of the case has elements of Auska's theme based on her plug suit printed onto its back.
Rena Ryugu from "Higurashi no Naku Koroni".
Mion Sonozaki from "Higurashi no Naku Koroni". Both were a game-prize item from Banpresto that I was lucky to find on HLJ for around $18 Aud a pop. I bought their very last remaining set. My god they look cute and are great on my PC desk, which is full of mainly black coloured PC gear so they fit in nicely.
I managed to catch a couple of great older Nendo's to fill some gaps in my collection and more of my newer pre-ordered ones. AmiAmi, E-Bay, Figure FM and Mandarake all lent a helping hand this time around. The biggest royal pain in the a$$ was getting my hands on the Milky Holmes one. You see AmiAmi neglected to list her as a Nendoroid so I somehow missed pre-ordering her and then later finding her once she was released was complete murder, but I luckily spoted one on E-Bay and so promptly snapped her up. That one will be worth a motza later imo.
The latest and perhaps last wallscroll to come out for one of my fav characters, Ellis from Asobi Ni Ikuyo. Its made from an insanely fine cotton cloth and so its colours are very rich and vibrant. Truth be told I'm quite pleased with that one.
Great nendoroid loot you got there.Milky Homes and Archbishop are easily my favourite.I notice Mandarake are very quick to put their prices up.
Tell me bout it. I snap up stuff fast on their site prior to thewm realising they may be seeling the item cheap.

The mouse pad really is just like a normal single lump gel mouse pad so its comfortable and fits in nicely to replace the exact same design of pad I have at work so I make my work desk more personalised without cluttering it up with something extra. Hope that sort of makes sense >.<"
I'm gradually looking at everything on my desk and thinking of tasteful and appropriate ways of adjusting it, without introducing clutter, to help me express my love of the Japanies culture and the art medium that is anime.
As for the phone I really love it. The screen protector is a matt type that really never needs cleaning at all as its just about smudge proof, but it does darken the screen image slightly so I bumped my brightness up a fraction. The hard case only makes the phone 2mm wider and about the same again for thickness, but the unit still feels thin and small. If anything the slight increase in size somehow makes the unit feel more comfortable in my hand. Go figure.
ah I see, thanks for replying! I thought the 3d would be something special you know^^" I might get one myself, but I'm using a razer mousepad which has gotten dirty lately.
hahah same here but I've run out of space to be able to display my figures. If I was allowed to drill walls! I would XD

Are you going to keep them in their boxes or do you have some on display on your shelf or something?
I will be renovating my room this year and so will be getting a few Detolf display's from Ikea to display everything. At that time I'm looking to mass open up all the Nendo's andm make a numbered exibit style display leaving gaps and placards for the ones I don;t have as yet.

She's one of the 20 odd Pre #50 Nendo's on my to get list to complete the entire collection. I'm looking to reduce that number over the course of this year and just keep up with the all the new ones coming out going forward.

Thinking of getting her for my Megane Nendo collection.
The 2P version of her is coming also. Not sure which you prefure but the @P will be rarer and hence more expensive.

Its a spectacular one and there is another by the same artist for Rei. I have a large collection of nice high rez wallpapers that I sync to the phone and let iTunes simply resize for the handset. Once on the handset you can then set any image in the handset to become your phone back ground.
I'm pretty sure that pic was from http://oreno.imouto.org/post?tags=evangelion, but you will have to have a dig and if not theres quite a few great ones on the site you may want to use instead.

unfortunately... my art circle's artists all end up in the chinese section =___= the koto have bad english... and nationality... they had that as born country... and like we are chinese born background but aussie citizens... we end up in chinese section =/

Great loot. I REALLY want that milky Holmes nendoroid BADLY! however I don't have a psp anyway, so I'm not willing to pay the hurrendous price :/
I decided a long time ago that I would collect every Nendo regardless of how they come packaged, but would take my time and be sure to pay the absolute lowest price for each one. As they are going on display eventually I don't mind them being second hand as long as they are complete and in great condition, something Mandarake is fantastic for.
Nendo's are insanely expensive to collect so I've had to cut back on a lot of other things I would of likely have also bought by now. No regrets so far though.
Oh! Ellis looks so nice as always ^^ and with those proportions how can I possibly not like her XD.
