Dakimakura Frame?

I recently was able to get a Yui Dakimakura and I wanted to frame it, but out of all the places I checked they didn't have 21"x60" frames so I decided I wanted to custom order one and the prices were ridiculous around 100 USD + for a poster frame. So I was wondering if anyone knew a place where I could get a frame of that size for a cheaper price. If not I would like to know what other people do with their Dakimakura aside from actually buying a pillow and displaying it that way.

    Most people clip them to the wall if they're not being filled with a pillow.
    You could always try and make your own frame.. Somehow.. though.
    Mine? All still in their boxes.. ;_;

      Yeah, I've seen that happening a lot, but for some reason I didn't really like the thought of that >.>~
      As for making my own frame I've looked into it and the cheapest I could make it would be like $50-80 and so before I went down that route I was wondering if anyone else on the internet had suggestions :)
      Thanks for the suggestions though!

    I would try going to Home Depot, see if you can get the materiels you need to make a poster frame, here is a link on "how to make a poster frame" http://www.ehow.com/how_4761451_make-poster-frame.html

    I didn't originally like the idea of hanging it with lots and lots of clips and I did look at framing it, but it was either too expensive or time consuming. I managed to use the backing card for wallpaper in mine so that I can have only two clips at the top and they hang straight (ish they curl at the bottom a bit as the card comes in rolls).

    Works pretty well and if you buy small white clips and can drill screws into the walls I think it ends up looking pretty decent. I took some pictures ages ago but I still use these.

      Oh wow! I think I may actually go with this if no other suggestions come through. Thanks a lot!

      This idea really is brilliant. I just bought (pre-order) my first dakimakura and will take note of this idea. I'm highly probable to display it with a pillow body, but having a cheap option like this to display it on a wall is sure to come in handy.

    A dakimakura is a hugging pillow. I personally use it as it was intended. It's fine if you want to display it but thinking realistically, where are you ever going to find a 5ft long frame? Having it custom-made would be, like you said, too expensive.

    If you want to frame it you would probably have to do it yourself. Another way to hang it might be to use magnets.
