The Coffee of Nagato Yuki + other loot

Posted by Varg [www]

Last Saturday I managed to make a trip to Akihabara without buying any figures, not the easiest task in the world for me^^ Instead I ended up buying a bunch other stuff, like these cans of coffee:

Mouseover = load notes.
The Coffee of Nagato Yuki + other loot

Love all three images. Found them at Gamers for 200 yen each. Have been wanting them ever since I saw them in one of Danny's posts, can't remember which one. The text says 長門有希の珈琲 (ながとゆきのコーヒー) (Nagato Yuki no koohii) - the Coffee of Nagato Yuki. I learned the cool-looking kanji for coffee, didn't even know that there were any since it is always written in katakana.

The rest of the loot:

I bought most of it at Leonardo, love that place. Huge timesink though, since there is just so much stuff crammed into a tiny space in a not very systematic way.

Does anyone know a good way to get rid of folds in posters? These Utawarerumono ones have been stored folded for Haruhi knows how long, leaving them with nasty bulges across the middle. It's not hard creases, they look like waves from the side, and I have trouble flattening them out.

Horo-sama!

This one made me stop and just stare at it for a good 5-10 minutes. My brain is not used to processing this amount of awesome ^_^

    If you want to flatten out poster I would suggest placing heavy books on top of them for a while. I did that with some of my posters.

      Ahh, forgot to write that I tried that, but since I don't have many heavy books at hand I used a pile of manga. Maybe not heavy enough. I'm keeping them folded the other way now for a while to see if that helps. Thanks anyway ^^

      丸ごと一冊“オオカミさん” (Marugoto issatsu "Ookami-san") "Everthing about Ookami-san" might be a half-awkward translation, not really sure though. It contains a character guide with comments from writer and artist, a short Q&A, couple of illustrations, two short stories and the second chapter of the Ookami-san manga.

      The september issue of Dengeki Bunko Magazine (Vol. 15) had this, the large Ookami-san poster and a Durarara!! note book as extras, or gifts. Don't know if it's available online, or even if they still sell it, but that's what you would have to look for (電撃文庫MAGAZINE Vol. 15). Or if you can get a someone to buy them without the magazine from Leonardo, where I bought it, and send it to you.

        Thanks for the info :) I managed to find both on eBay but they want US$42 for the poster and US$92 for the book.. That's a little out of my price range ^^;; I'll have a look for the magazine though it may kinda hard to find. I only have one close contact in Japan and I doubt she would really want to go to Akihabara XD Hopefully I'll be able to go back there one day.

          $42 and $92? Man, that sucks. I bought the set for less then 500yen ($5?) if i remember correctly. I might be able to help you though. I'm going in to Akiba again next weekend, so I could see if I could find it for you. I'm not sure how much the postage would be though, but I'd count on at least 800-1000yen for the cheapest alternative, maybe even more. You know what, send me a mail at projectvarg(AT)gmail.com in case you are interested and I'll do some more research.
