Remove glue stains from PVC?
Tue 2011/02/01 23:54 JST

Was taking some pictures today and noticed that one of my figure has some glue stains on it (T~T)! As you can see in the pic.
Did some searching and poking around the web to no avail.
I was wondering if anyone here knows a way to clean it off without damaging the figure?
Thanks a lot!

"Glue stains", uh huh.
>~< It was there when I opened it.. kinda like those industrial glue ahhh I don't know.
lol, thought the same thing!
Have you tried a cotton swab and some hot water? I'm not sure about industrial glue, but it works on the wood glue I use to fix my figurines.
I tried it with some detergent added, but it doesn't seem to go off. >-<
I gave it some more thought. Here is what you can do, but I'm not sure if it works:
If you have a hair dryer, try heating the glue. PVC is firm and wont melt as fast as glue, so it should work. Then try to peel it off with your nail
Find hobby paint (used for garage kits, or maybe even toy models etc.) in the same color blue and paint it.
Take a cloth put it in heated water and slowly rub it on the glue stain.
And otherwise it's really how much it annoys you. If you only see it in detailed pictures. Then might as well leave it be. If it really annoys you can try some of my tips or even sell her. Or even contact the place were you bought it.
is it tacky or already hardened?
It's already harden, unfortunately. >~<
Well, you could try a cotton swab dipped in peroxide or isopropyl alcohol. Maye a bit of fingernail polish remover. It really depends on the glue.
