Cosplay...

I need to know, is buying a Cosplay outfit frowned upon at cons? My friend and I want to go as Code Geass characters to Anime Boston, I love CG and I really want to go as Suzaku (I kinda look him him ^^), but I can't make costumes for my life and I don't want to throw the cosplay community into an uproar. This is my first time, but she is very determined. I don't have much of a money issue, and I'm very excited to go, but I just want to learn more about the community but also to be Suzaku ^^. Your help would be greatly appreciated!!
