Did anybody notice Hobby Search...

...have lower there in-stock discount from 15% to 10%? Was this what they meant when they said they would adjust there pricing with the new cancellation rule? Amiami now has better pricing and HLJ the flexible cancellation policy so what are they trying to do??
Edit: Someone down in the comments also noted that the points you get has been reduced from 5% to 3% also.

Are you talking about a specific item? Because I've refreshed their site a couple times and I'm still seeing 15% off in-stock gunplas, PVCs, and other items.
Everything under New and Re-stock is listed with a 10% discount over here.
Ah I see, seems like that's going on in certain sections while others remain unchanged. Good catch.
it's because they probably give you an extra 5% for pre ordering it earlier, if you look at the figures that are in the "new" section, most of them are all released or the pre order date 5% discount for them is over
15% off is for pre orders and 10% off are for people who missed the pre orders. So I'm assuming that you get an extra 5% off for pre ordering it earlier. From what I can see.
So what I'm trying to say, is, if you don't pre order before the month, then you get a 10% discount and a 15% if you pre order before the month, that the figure is due to be released.
They had 15% on all items before unless my head is messing with me. This feels a bit like what HLJ does with it's discount but then you can't cancel with HS (basically anyways) anymore.
ah really? I don't think I pay attention to it enough^^"
haha but I think that's with most companies do, if you pre order early, you get a slight discount
haha true but I'm sure you're able to cancel if you have some reason^^"
But I still find hobbysearch cheaper than hlj
smart ideas like these makes profits look so good during budgeting. forgot this will be the case only if sales don't decrease. I'll love to move my orders to amiami, but that cancellation thing had me trapped. they are not getting my new orders
If you are willing to burn bridges, you can ignore their request for payment via PayPal.
You'd figure pricing would get better instead of worse at HS, but I guess that's not the case.
Amiami here I come...
That's what I'm saying to myself too. Unless they want Amiami to follow suit and lower there discount?
Did you also notice that points are now only 3%, so even with the point system they can't compare with Amiami's price.
Nice catch there. Didn't pay attention to the points at all.
Yeah I noticed that all instock items are now only 10% off. The old 15% policy on nearly everything was my main reason so sticking to mainly HS purchases, but now that its dropped down to 10% and the cancellation rules changing it seems that HLJ is now my more favourable option as HLJ now has their "Our Price" system.
For what it's worth AmiAmi has never knocked back or questioned a cancelation and have been pretty accomodating, hence my loyalty for over a year now.
good luck on their pricing scheme -_-
