Wolfheinrich’s World 2nd Anniversary and Giveaway Contest

So let’s take a look at some statistic for the past 12 months, courtesy of Google Analytics and site meter~

There was a significant jump in the amount of visitors from June to July, I credit that to the trip I made to AnimeExpo and was able to participate in Dannychoo.com Los Angeles CGM Night where I met a load of comrades and made acquaintance with many Dollfie Dream parents where I previously only knew them by their username on figure.fm.

Here is a dashboard view from Google Analytics, total visits in the last year was roughly 133k with a bounce rate of 61% (an indicator that has been trending down in recent months) with a total 265k pageviews, average time on site was 2:12. Looking back at Feburary of 2010, I was barely making 8000 visitors a month and now I can consistently breaking 10k visitors a month. I think I did a relatively decent job at growing the site in the past year.

Let’s go over some of the major milestones of the past 12 months here.

Ever since I finished playing Fortune Arterial PC Game in January 2010, I have already decided that I will have Kiriha as my next Dollfie Dream daughter. However, she was among one of the rarest Dollfie Dream at the time. In order to maximize my chance at catching her auction at the first available moment, I had to developed a comprehensive strategy to track Dollfie Dream auctions, a technique that I still uses today.

As many of you already know, most of my prized figure collection are stored inside my Dust Shield +1. This particular topic actually came from an inspiration from one of my blogging comrades Blowfish where he suggested that I should write a topic regarding aging on PVC figures. This is an ongoing topic that I will be tracking a pair of identical figures stored inside/outside the protection of my dust shield.

The moment I put the He is My Master Maid dress on Kiriha, I completely fell in love with how she looked in it. I thought about doing a few more photo shoot for her after the Dollfie Dream Kiriha X Sasara with School Swimsuit Maid & He is My Master Maid set, then from a relatively harmless conversation, an idea came about having Kiriha doing some sort of a strip tease… Well, let just say that turned out to be the first of the many more erotic Dollfie Dream photo set to come (and many more in the future I am sure….), all credit to Chibichibusa, who started the whole conversation…. XD

It was more like a joke at first, but yeah I applied for a Dollfie Dream MasterCard (not)! It was more like a MasterCard with a custom image profile… but I thought it is kind of cute how it turned out, don’t you think?

For the longest time, I have debated the prospect of taking one of my Dollfie Dream daughters along with me to one of these anime conventions. Before this I was always kind of shy about taking my girls out in public, but not anymore! The atmosphere inside an anime convention is just about perfect to take a Dollfie Dream out and about! I also took the opportunity to meet another blogging friend Anonymous_Object from Cool & Spicy, where he also brought his daughter Yui along!

Part of being involved in the figure.fm community for me is about being able to rise to challenge that Danny throw at us. The opportunity of featuring in his Culture Japan TV show in Tokyo MX TV was one such challenge. After thinking it over several times, I have finally decided to do it, a video tour of my Otaku Command Center.

Ever since I adopted my 13th Dollfie Dream daughter DD娃娃 Kiriha, I had this idea to collect all four of the August Soft licensed Dollfie Dream, and there were these images in my head that I want to capture them into photos. So, without further ado, allow me to present to you, my August Four! A collection of photos on Dollfie Dream Feena DD娃娃 フィーナ, Dollfie Dream Estel DD娃娃 エステル from the Visual Novel Brighter than Dawning Blue also known as Yoake Mae Yori Ruriiro na 夜明け前より瑠璃色な; Dollfie Dream Erika DD娃娃 千堂 瑛里華 and Dollfie Dream Kiriha DD娃娃 紅瀬桐葉 from the Visual Novel Fortune Arterial.

While it is true that I spend most of my time blogging about Dollfie Dream these days, however, that doesn’t mean that I have completely forgotten about my other Otaku Hobby, which is to play eroge game. When Illusion announced their new game Schoolmate 2, I knew I had to get my hands on it and it has turned out quite well. For the past couple of years, I haven’t been exactly happy with most of the Illusion releases, save perhaps @Homemate and Schoolmate Sweet; Real Kanojo was a disappointment as it failed to capture my attention for more than 15 minutes. However, back in April, Illusion soft announced their new latest game Schoolmate 2; the Schoolmate series, one of the few entertaining games coming out of Illusion soft in recent years.

July was a pretty significant month for me, with the convergence of several events, such as the chance to meet up with my long time blogging friend Lightningsabre and Dannychoo at AnimeExpo was a good excuse for me to travel to Los Angeles to attend Anime Expo, where I also attended the Los Angeles CGM Night, met a load of comrades and made acquaintance with many Dollfie Dream parents where I previously only knew them by their username on figure.fm.

Since I have been using the AdoramaPix service for my photo printing need lately and the fact that I have finally managed to have taken a meaningful amount of memorable photos of my lovely Dollfie Dream daughters. I believe I have mentioned somewhere that one of my main objective in pursing Dollfie Dream Photography is to create and capture these special moments of my Dollfie Dream, in such a way that I can enjoy those moments again in the future. One of my latest projects, was to create a special photo album for none other than my most treasured (and spoiled to the max!) daughter Kiriha. Here I present you my 13th Dollfie Dream daughter Kuze Kiriha‘s first Photo Album -- 紅瀬桐葉写真集.

I have always been a big fan of group photos, especially family photo where I can gather all of my daughters together to show their family unity and sisterly love. When my sixteenth daughter Sakura arrived, I have already decided to put together a family photo since the arrival of Sakura also marked the completion of a Platoon!! Since such a significant milestone cannot be ignored or overlooked…. so I have decided to summon all of my daughters together for a full family portrait (it’s been a while since I did the last family photo)! This special event is also know as Dollfie Dream Daughters Grand Glorious Gathering, DDDGGG for short!

Obviously, in a special occasion such as this, I wouldn’t miss the opportunity to film the family video!

It took me almost a year before I could finally decide to put together a true beginner guide for Dollfie Dream, where it answered most of the questions for any aspiring Dollfie Dream parent might have. So far the feedback on this topic has been very positive and it is currently one of the more popular dollfie dream topics I have written.

For the first time in this blog’s short history, I have decided to try to try my hands on doing anime review. While I don’t normally do anime review since there are already plenty of blogs out there that do that. However, I felt that I have more value to bring to the table since I am already familiar with the visual novel story and can explain things in details that no ordinary anime reviewer could. I believe the anime adaption of Fortune Arterial has been generally good but lacked a convicted ending which I hope the upcoming OAD will offer.

For 2 years I have always dreamed about Volks releasing Dollfie Dream Saber Lily and the day has finally come upon us! To mark this very special occasion, I put together a verse to allow me to summon Saber Lily to become my 19th Dollfie Dream daughter!

One of the most painful experience for any Dollfie Dream parent is to deal with the possibility of staining on a Dollfie Dream body since vinyl is extremely prone to picking up stain from just about anything you can think of. Quite possibly the first Dollfie Dream Saber Lily to arrive on North America soil, she also came with a pretty heavy price tag. However, after performing a thorough cost analysis, I came down to the conclusion that acquiring a first day event limited item compare the premium I have to pay through Yahoo Japan auction is actually not that bad when I took account into the cost of traveling to the event (even if I am in Japan), hotel lodging, cost of guidebooks etc.

Continuing onto my part II of Dollfie Dream DD Saber Lily’s arrival party, which I code name as Trinity of Dollfie Dream Saber! For the very first time, the 3 big heads 三巨頭 of the Fate/stay Night world have gathered together for this special photo shoot!!

This is the photo I have always wanted to shoot! Saber, Saber Alter and Saber Lily decked out in their gear… oh what’s that Alter is holding??? Anyway, life in the Hikari Photo Studio is not all about combat, so it’s time for the for the 3 Sabers to change into something more appropriate ~

And what could be more appropriate than 3 Saber Maids??

Ever since Dollfie Dream DD Saber Lily セイバー・リリィ arrived over a week ago, she has been the center of my attention, I spent over 2 days to work on the Princess Knight Dollfie Dream DD Saber Lily’s Arrival セイバー・リリィの到着. However, I was forced to take a few days off after I finished the Trinity of Dollfie Dream DD Saber セイバー・リリィ ~ Saber Lily Maid version ~ since I was under the weather. I started to feel a little better since yesterday so I immediately got to work on next photo shoot, something a little more sensual, perhaps a little ecchi :D , which I code name as Dollfie Dream DD Saber Lily セイバー・リリィ Relaxing Day! Allow me to present the 3rd installment of the Dollfie Dream DD Saber Lily’s Arrival celebration photo shoot!

It was only a matter of time before I put two of my most favorite Dollfie Dream daughters DD Saber Lily セイバー・リリィ and DD Kiriha Kuze 紅瀬桐葉 together for a full photo shoot, the pictures from the New Year Greeting post were merely a preview of what was probably a fact that was waiting to happen; I wouldn’t put it past some of you who regularly visit my blog that this was already in the work ^^; What kind of photo shoot would I put together for my most favorite daughters the more mature and sexy Lily and slightly mischievous Kiriha together? Well, I actually tried to throw in a mixture of themes this time, involving the sexy, sisterly love and some light yuri perhaps =3.

With the increasing number of Saber Lily wig failing at the ponytail, I have come to the conclusion that I have to do something for Lily’s wig even though it has been years since I have bothered to pick up a needle and thread. Thanks to the excellent info provided by figure.fm member Poofiemus, I was finally able to make up my mind to do some preventative maintenance on Lily’s wig before it has a chance to develop a problem for me. I call this the DD Saber Lily セイバー・リリィ Wig Instrumentality Project 補完計劃!

It has been a riddle at the back of my mind for ages, what can I do to possibly speed up my site? I literally spent months working on this (on/off) and right at about 2 weeks ago, I was finally able to solve this riddle and improved my site performance by huge margin and improved my pagespeed score to above 90!
