First Mastergrade Kit

Hello, everyone. My very first online shopped item, finally came and I am wondering if there is something i need to remember when building MG kits or anything that will help me doing this kit? Thank you for your support

Doesn't really matter if you're building a First Grade, RG, HG, MG or even PGs.. The pretty much are built the same way, you've built gunplas before.
Follow the instructions !!!
most important rule is to have fun building it! just read the manual carefully and dont rush.
Agree...
how much did you pay for the shipping?
SAL shipment (unregistered)- 500 pesos...
how long did it take for you to receive this package? and was it directly delivered to your door steps?
Make sure you have the right tools and take your time.
This is the one before the release of the clear parts.
I preordered mine right away and have already built it.
Love this one, you will enjoy it...I might get another and do different colors o_O
The best way go to about it is not to rush! I know I've been in a hurry many times making something and messed it up. ^^;
I wish you luck! I can't wait to see it completed.
yeah don't rush it! that wud be the best advice, cz it's easier to slip up if u do and it takes away the enjoyment of building it
Enjoy every build, a basic rule to all kit modelers!
G was my first MG too, so you're in good company =D
First off, get a good sprue cutter. Lots of hobby shops carry them, so you should have no trouble finding them. When it gets dull, replace them.
Second, you may want to invest in a soft file for filing off the little nubs and flash after you cut pieces off the trees. These will make your kit look better when completed and will remove the white flash that remains after a bad cut.
Third, you'll want a small screwdriver. I don't mention this much for most MG kits, but G's has a tight inner frame with screws, so you'll definitely need one. A phillips screwdriver for glasses repair should do fine.
When cutting pieces off the tree, cut part of the tree off along with the part. That way you reduce the amount of flash that remains on the piece because you have a good angle to cut at. Sand away any nubs that remain as lightly as you can, as hard sanding may discolor the piece. If you plan on repainting the pieces though, go ahead and sand a little harder to flatten out the nub. Don't overtighten the parts with screws, as you may damage the part as well as make it difficult to adjust the joint.
The only difference between MG kits and HG/FG kits is detail. There are more pieces to make parts like the arm or leg than a HG kit requires, and there is a large amount of posing potential as well since G has that inner frame gimmick. If you like G, Master, Shining and Spiegel would be up your alley for a next project, as they also have the inner frame. From other series I highly recommend suits from the SEED series, especially the two Astray variants.
Recent kits have been released with 'Burst' mode packaging, for instance Strike Freedom Full Burst Mode. These kits are basically almost exactly the same as their regular priced kyoudai except they come with a gimmick; in Strike Freedom's case, it's gold plated inner frame parts, a stand and effect parts for the DRAGOONs. I highly recommend these over the regular kits, but your budget will vary accordingly.
If you have any further questions, feel free to post them here. There are tons of GunPla experts here waiting to help you out with any problem you may have. Enjoy your build!
A soft file... need to get one of those it seems. I've just been using the scalpel to shave away at the nub - not efficient or very effective, much less safe. heh
Thank you for the specific and detailed help!
Take your time. Don't rush in things. When your'e tired take a break. :3
My favorite kit : )
My advice is that this kit looks awesome when it's panel lined and has a coat of flat applied. So definitely take your time with the panel lining it'll be totally worth it.
Also there's a king of hearts symbol on the jewel sticker so don't be careful and don't put it on upside down or something lol.
This is a great kit and an especially great first kit. It's a pretty simple build, it's got an awesome inner frame and there's really no need to paint it as the kit looks awesome all by itself. Like I said my favorite kit : )
