Taiga Shopping

Taiga out n about shopping - and a question. Are you being logged out despite checking the "remember me" box when logging in?
Also now is a good time to let me know your requests for figure.fm or the Mirai Gaia platform in general as dannychoo.com will be running on it within the next 3 weeks.

Also let me know what gets on your nut about the general userbility. A big improvement upon dannychoo.com but still much more room to make it better with your help.

BTW I'm having a lot of troubles at figure.fm. First of all I couldn't login. A message appeared saying "Invalid login or password" even when I registered at DC more than a month ago and had more than 50 comments. I registered here and the bugs continued, I couldn't change my avatar nor upload a post since links didn't load. I launched with Safari and that problems blew away, but now the "manage images" link isn't working!
I don't know why these things are happening to me cause it seems everybody else is doing well.

OK I found out how to upload multiple images, I have to go to "view post" and then click on "edit" each time I want to add one picture, otherwise the "manage images" link doesn't load.
When I upload one picture the "upload" button disappears and I have to click on "view post" and then "edit" again several times, what is a bit tired.

Yeah, it happens to me alot, the remember me option that is...

Like a lot of users here, I think when we post our piccies we would like to do it in one go, not post 1 piccie first, save then post the rest using edit... Can you fix that, Danny?

Also the find your comments and your posts function in DC.com... can we have those here as well?

The "Remind me" is working fine here too. I´m quite satisfied with everything. A little sugestion would be the option to be notified when an specific topic gets new messages.

Staying logged in fine also. I agree that an option to "follow" a particular entry might be helpful, especially if things end up getting buried quickly under new entries. I wonder how much work it would be to implement?

    Remember me option works fine.

Perhaps add the number of comments a post has? Some posts can have many large pictures and take a bit to load just to see if there are new comments ^^

    Who hit taiga on the head? She has a baobao on her head ^^;;;;

I think if we're allowed to post the multiple images on first upload it might be a bit better? (not sure how complicated is it to change tho :P) I noticed that when I post something there's a broken image on the button (forgot which is it will do a screen capture on next upload or when it happens)

to answer Dannys question, yes I am getting logged out despite using the "remember me" option...

Seems really weird. Esp since I actually left a firefox tab open on the site and it still logged me off.

Request number of views for post, number of comments in post, and put another or move the "Comment" button to the bottom of post. That way I don't have to scroll back up to comment after reading all other comments.

    "Remember Me" is working.

On second thought, scratch that request for total views. That would turn this place into a contest who can get the most views. Hmm, even the number of comments in post too. :/

Oh, I spoke too soon. "Remember Me" not working. Had to re-login a few moments ago. Wierd. Firefox 3.5

Remember me function works for me on ie8 and firefox3.5
Although, when I first open up figure.fm i'm not logged in. But as soon as I click on upload or comment buttons, I'm automatically logged in. I'm not sure if it's supposed to work that way...

    I have some suggestions:

    1. upload multiple images right away when creating post.
    2. have a "favorite" function, if u want to bookmark specific users or individual images.
    3. image rating, but not like the old figure.fm where you can vote for your own pics multiple times. only one vote per uer.
    4. top user and/or image chart, based on user rating or post views or something like that.
    5. a way to see the latest comments on your posts and/or to see how many views your post has.
    6. user badges like in the old figure.fm (top poster, # of posts, etc.) this one isnt that important but I did like it.
    7. have a featured post every month or so. feature post would be at the top of the page with a bigger thumbnail of their pic. danny would pick maybe the top 3 posts of the month. users would then vote for which post would be the featured one of the month. and maybe danny could give a little prize to the user who won.

these are just off the top of my head, please feel free to add, improve, or just say that my ideas suck, lol. sorry for long post.

can you put the last 4 posts below, like in dc.com.
it could be placed above the footer area.

I am constantly being logged out after logging in for sometime. Not sure if anybody faced this issue before, but I tend to open lots of pages and because my line is slow, I leave it to load and go do my stuff then come back about an hour later to read. Then when I wanted to comment, the login page showed up instead. And also the "Remember Me" button doesn't work for me. I am using Google Chrome 2.0.172.33

I hope my description is not too confusing. @.@

And Taiga is just sweet. ^^,

I'm not sure if this is included in the issues, but I'm a fairly new user but have already been a DC.com member for a little more than a month... and I still couldn't log in or comment here in figure.fm... had to sign up for a new account ='D

besides that, no huge problems seen aotm

Maybe put number of comments at the side of the date just like dc.com posts

Though I would prefer it like the old figure.fm, where comments are threaded with the post, something like facebook, where comments are threaded

Hmm...I may have just not discovered it at this point, but I can't find a way to track my own comments on figure.fm. This is versus how there's a comments section under my profile at DC. :P I tend to check that at least once a day, reloading all the tabs to check out the topics I was interested enough to comment on.

    You did mention e-mail notification of reply to comments as being in the works, as well as favourites - however, I like to check a post even when my comment hasn't gotten a reply if it was something I had an opinion on. That would work with favourites, but...I don't particularly want to favourite every post I comment on. ^^;

Not sure if this is rather specific need though.

When I was uploading my Otacool post, it was my first time posting to here or DC (I just did comments on DC before)
I found the process a little confusing at first. You might want to add some guides in the upload area to help newbies (like me) figure out how things work. (like text bubbles explaining each step.) I had to figure things out by trial and error, though I'm happy with how it turned out.
