Now lets get onto..uhhh which touhou again? Oh yeah. Touhou 10 Mountain of Faith!

LMAO heres a funny fact about this game…It is the touhou that is LEAST played in the touhou series, excluding the PC-98s of course haha.

Now, Touhou 10 Mountain of Faith is about Reimu’s voyage into Youkai mountain. Due to all sorts of Youkai visiting the Hakurei Shrine, and with this the people lost their faith in the Shinto Gods. How this happened to be is because a mysterious stranger visited the Hakurei Shrine and ordered it to be shut down, but not only due to the lack of faith, the Hakurei shrine proses as the boundary between Gensokyo and the real world. TH10 features two playable characters that each have three weapon types.

This game also features the faith meter, with a cap of 50,000. Point items partially refill the gauge and faith items increase the numeric value. The Faith meter also directly affects the point value of point items and spell card bonuses.
The gameplay is the same but the main reason why this game is the least played is because it doesn’t count graze and as a graze player rather than a points player. Me barely play this game >:3

Aki Shizuha & Aki Minoriko

Aki Shizuha is a twin to Minoriko Aki, both known as the Aki sisters and they both love the fall season :3 Shizuha is the goddess of turning leaves and her power is to control the turning of leaves, while he twin Minoriko is the harvest goddess with the power to control an abundant harvest. Shizuha is also the older sister of the two. Shizuha, thought that the main character is here to disturb the autumn which made her attack but was defeated easily, being a stage 1 boss haha. Minoriko on the other hand was attacking the main character because she thought she was going to be eaten, while if she were battling Marisa, she wanted to demonstrate her power. Other than visiting the human village to give the humans an abundance in harvest, she runs a sweet potato stand X3 If you want to know more about Minoriko click here.
Fun facts about these sisters:
- The character for Aki means "Autumn", and Minoriko something like "Bountiful child" or "Seed-spreading child".
- Minori can also just mean "Harvest", and Ko "child", so her name could also just mean "harvest child"
- It makes very much sense for Minoriko to be the younger sister who is the goddess of the harvest as the harvest comes after the changing of the leaves in the season.
- Despite being older than her sister, Minoriko, she only appears as a mid-boss in her stage and has no dialogue in the game. This has lead most doujin authors to represent Shizuha as an immature and unreliable older sister who depends on her younger sister for everything.
- The character for Aki means "Autumn", and Shizuha "quiet leaves."

Kagiyama Hina

Kagiyama Hina is a curse goddess, her power as you might have guessed is the ability to store up curses, her age is unknown. She likes to chase away lost humans in a forest and to gather up the misfortune of the humans. She is also the leader of Nagashi-bina doll army who would chase off humans and also gather misfortune from them. When the heroine stumbles upon her, Hina attempts to scare them off, not because she dislikes or anything, but to get them away from such a dangerous mountain. However, even though Hina had good intentions and claiming she is a friend to the humans, the heroine is still unhappy that she is in the way of her path and regardless, she beats her easily. Fun facts about hina:
- The characters for Kagiyama literally mean "key mountain". Hina could mean either "Bird chick" or "Doll."
- Hina is the leader of the "Nagashi-bina doll army." This refers to a Japanese ritual of transferring one's sins and misfortune to a doll (a Nagashi-bina) and throwing it in a river to be carried away.
- Since Hina spins around in Mountain of Faith, she is depicted loving to spin all the time without getting dizzy, most people would say, 'Spin spin, Hina likes to spin.'
- Hina spinning may be a reference to her ability to store up curses. This is because the kanji for curse (厄) looks somewhat like a swirl, just like the one on her dress.

Kawashiro Nitori

Nitori is a kappa with, you guessed it, the power to control water and her occupation is an engineer. She also lives in youkai mountain, during Mountain of Faith, once she saw the heroine, she ran away without a word and tries to scare her away with danmaku. She, being good-natured, has an odd way of showing it, scaring humans away from the mountain, since its dangerous for humans to be in the mountain, and Nitori doesn’t want the heroine getting hurt, she likes humans, but she just doesn’t know how to act around them. Fun facts about Nitori
- The characters for Kawashiro mean "river castle", while Nitori is in hiragana. There is a home furnishing chain store named Nitori in Japan, but it seems she has nothing to do with it.
- Nitori is also a Latin word defined as either "brilliance, brightness, glow; splendor" or "perseverance; reliability", all fitting things to associate with such a brilliant engineer.

Kochiya Sanae

Sanae is although a human, she is a descendant of a goddess. Her abilities is to cause miracles to occur, and her age is probably around mid-teens, near the same age as marisa or reimu. She is also a shrine maiden and a wind priestess. She is the shrine maiden for the Moriya Shrine located on top of Youkai mountain. Originating from the human world, people began losing faith in them, so yasaka, Kanako moved the shrine to Gensokyo where at least some Youkai have faith in them. Once moved, Sanae threatened the Hakurei shrine in order to establish the Moriya shrine as the dominant once, not realizing how ridiculously powerful Reimu were. In response to this, she was defeated shortly after kanako and suwako’s defeat. If you want to know more about Sanae click here.

Fun facts about Sanae
- Sanae can mean "rice seedling" or "early seedling", and Kotiya "eastern wind valley". (The same "east" as in Touhou, and the same "wind" as in Fuujinroku.)
- Since Sanae is originally from the outside world, some fans draw her in a schoolgirl uniform.
- Sanae's sleeves are detached from her shirt, just like Reimu's. As a result, it is possible to use Sanae as the subject of the "armpit joke" rather than Reimu. However, Sanae armpit jokes are rare compared to Reimu armpit jokes.

Yasaka Kanako

Kanako is the goddess of wind and rain, her ability is to create the sky, her age is unknown and she is the Moriya shrine’s goddess. She lives in the Wind goddess’ lake in front of the Moriya shrine. Kanako is the only touhou character in the windows series that has no midboss in her own stage. Not much info is depicted on the touhou wiki :/ just a load of fun facts :/ sorry…I would fill in what I know but that’s the problem too, I barely know her T^T. Fun facts about kanako
- Oddly, Kanako's sprite changes colors in rainbow order during the time between when her theme begins and when she starts to battle. It also happens to another character in the PC98 ages.
- Kanako's last spell card, Mountain of Faith/Virtue of the Wind God, is somewhat harder on Easy than on Normal.
- Her name, Yasaka, can be split up in 'Ya' and 'Saka'. 'Ya' meaning 'eight', and 'Saka', which would mean hill. Yasaka would therefore mean 'Eight hills'
- In humorous fanart, Kanako is often depicted as a robot, or an RX-77-2 Guncannon from Mobile Suit Gundam due to the Faith Pillars that attach to her back during the final encounter in Mountain of Faith.

Moriya Suwako

Suwako is the goddess of mountains, with the ability to create earth and to summon curse gods(Mishaguji). She is the former goddess of the Moriya shrine and is also one of the oldest gods, far predating Kanako from the great Suwa war. This is the extra boss of touhou 10, even though the shrine is named after her, Kanako is the main goddess of the shrine because she was beaten by Kanako. It is revealed that during ancient times, she was the ruler of a small kingdom and controlled the Mishaguji, who were curse gods that obtained enormous amounts of faith, cursing birth, harvests, militaries and many others and that Suwako was the only one that can control them. However the gods from Yamato (ancient Japan) were to invade her kingdom, saying that they were going to unify all the kingdoms to create a single country known as Japan. Suwako, unwilling to let this happen, fought with the finest steel weapons of time, but Kanako held out a thin vine, and Suwako’s steel arsenal instantly rusted away, realizing the difference in divine power and her own defeat, she forfeited and relinquished her kingdom. Fun facts about Suwako:
- It is said that Sanae is her distant descendant, although Sanae didn't even know it until the events of Subterranean Animism.
- Among the Touhou fandom, Suwako's hat has almost become an entity of its own, largely thanks to the imposing leer of the eyes on top. Its most common name is Pyonta.
- It should be noted that some of the fairies in Mountain of Faith seem to be wearing Suwako's hat.
- Suwako is heavily symbolized as a frog. Cirno freezes frogs. The results in fanon are obvious. The frog jokes include relationships with Super Mario Bros. 3 and the Hypnotoad.
- Because of that, Suwako is commonly called 「ケロちゃん」 or "Kero-chan," which appears in one of her spell cards, 「ケロちゃん風雨に負けず」 which is "Kero-chan Braves the Wind and Rain." This nickname was mentioned, for example, in Tetla Pot's PV of Silver Forests's song, Kero⑨Destiny.

東方 Arrange #104 Densou-Gakudan (Relaxing/Electronic)

Couple weeks later and I'm still confident this is the single best touhou album out there. When you have someone as seasoned and renowned as Tenmon arranging ZUN's masterpieces, it's hard to beat. At least that is what I believe.

I really tried to capture the feeling in this one, and snow kept coming to mind. What's funny is I'm going to quote ZUN here when it comes to Retrospective Kyoto:

"I feel, deep inside, that this hints at retro Japan.
Snow, falling in the capital. A deserted night road.
But, this retro is my idea of retro...
Listening to this might make you reminisce."

He's right. Hit the nail right on the head.

Anyways, nothing more really needs to be said. Just stop what you're focusing on for a couple minutes and let yourself get lost in this one. You'll feel quite relaxed and soothed afterward.

東方 Touhou Techno/Funk 164

This is the first "random" upload to the Lyrica playlist featured for me. What I mean by that is that I didn't have any plans to upload it until it popped up on random in my winamp and decided on the spot. I'll do this from time to time to keep things a bit unpredictable. There's no reason to simply upload strictly from the most recent event.

One of my favorite luna dial's belongs to this nice dub/DnB/liquid funk remix track by haLRu.

He's been a pretty consistent delivery for wherever he's popped up. A more urban type of arranger, listening to his creations can be a nice change of pace. You may have heard various works from him on past albums such as the self titled Wachund, Capricioasă Gând, Amaryllis, Border of Yukari (AramiTama), and Touhou Underground.

The vocal sampling may not be everyone's cup of tea (and by all rights, not mine either), but in moderation, I think it works just fine. Urban tracks in general don't seem to please a giant portion of Touhou fans, so the few arrangers that continue to produce it deserve my thanks.

So please if you will, enjoy the music and be mesmerized by the sexiness that is Sakuya's legs.

IRON ATTACK!? YOU CAN'T MISS THIS

I can't count how many times I've said this, but I'll still stress that 3rd eye is ZUN's most evil song ever. I mean, it's just oozing that evil vibe from start to finish.

This is from Tutti Sound's newest album (C79) and I have to say I'm really pleased. Once again they (?) sure show their skill in classical arranges. Since the last album I've been eager for more of their songs (especially since that Nue arrange, still can't get the damn thing out of my head, it screams Pictures at an Exhibition on so many levels), and they do not fail to deliver.

The original intention was to upload another song by Neo (it was an U.N. Owen mix and it was equally amazing, and contained organs), but when I started up this song I just knew I couldn't not upload this.
The organs in the intro paired with the chorus reminiscent of Heartfelt Fancy (totally done on purpose I bet, it just sucks you in even more) just captures your heart building up a lot of suspense and just leaving you wanting more.
The rest of the song just doesn't disappoint, the orchestra is powerful and once again there is that returning "Mussorgsky" vibe in certain sections, not only that the usage of that piano is priceless.

Makes you wonder why some of these artists are only doujin artists and not maybe world renowned orchestra directors.

Oh yeah, that image, that freaking image, its one of the most gorgeous images of Satori I've seen, I swear. The image pack will be made soon at the end of these 10 videos, I swear to everyone who's been waiting for the image that you'll get your wanted images, don't worry.

Regardless, enjoy the masterpiece and thanks for watching as always.

So finally, after a lot of time I've found a Grimoire of Alice arrange that blew my shoes off and just had to share it with everyone.

Rei is an artist that has developed quite a bit from his previous albums in other events, in the beginning I'll admit that his orchestral arrangements weren't all that amazing, they had some nice spinoffs here and there but over all they were "generic orchestral arrangement of X theme".
But as time went on and Rei's compositions skills grew, his songs got better and better, without doubt. It's at the point that it doesn't really matter anymore if he uses synth or not, imho. Like for example the choirs, well they certainly aren't Morrigan level (I doubt anyone can beat those, so not point even trying) but they without doubt can create atmosphere and have a nice ring to them.

I'm not kidding here, that Alice in Wonderland arrange is one of the most epic arranges I've heard, and not to mention Grimoire of Alice.
I think it fits perfectly in the settings itself, I was thinking actually, Alice has an awful lot of themes doesn't she? Actually she's probably the character with most themes in the whole franchise, not that I'm complaining, each of them have their own hint hint of spice in them.

The only real qualms I have about this album is the length of some tracks, would it have killed Rei to make them a bit longer?
Regardless, let us all thank him for this amazing piece of art.

God.

I literally spent hours trying to decide which one from this album to share. They are all that impressive to me. Don't be surprised if return here in the future.

I have never been all that into Shibayan's arranges in the past. What the heck happened? I still don't have an answer as there isn't much fundamentally different than previous releases. Christ, what a conundrum. Regardless, from start to finish, kokoro vibration is a foot stomping, body moving sensation.

I don't have much else to say. I like this. I hope you do too.
