HG Zaku III Vulcan custom WIP
This is my latest project, the HG Zaku III. I've been working on it for about a month and it's about 70% complete. It's been customized for the sake of a competition hosted by a local gunpla club in Vancouver called Vanpla. You can check out the various works of the club here. The model is due for completion this March and I'm going to have to work on this faster to make the due date. You can follow my progress on my blog.
The original model before any mods.
Modified the crotch area to give it a single thruster, filled in the skirt armour and placed a piece of styrene on the back skirt.
The styrene is placed there to hold the epoxy that the gap will be filled with.
Filled and sanded.
Modified the thrusters to stick further out of the leg.
Added a piece of styrene to make the Zaku taller.
This is what it looks like after the above mentioned mods. The rifle and new ands are from Kotobukiya.
Applied a few layers of Tamiya basic to the shoulder armour to give it a rougher texture.
Going to add a rocket launcher to the fore-arm.
Legs will be filled out with putty.

Nice work. I'm excited to see this in full detail.
What is this for?
I filled in the part with epoxy putty, but the putty can fall off easily so i place some scratched up styrene to let the styrene have something to hold on to.
I hope the result will be great!! I'll wait... :)
