    The show is already at its halfway point and Madoka is nowhere close to being a Puella Magi. In fact, given the soul gem revelation in Episode 6, Madoka seems to scoot even further away from becoming a Puella Magi. Well, who can blame her, right?

    Maybe something will happen in Episode 8 and push her towards becoming a Puella Magi in Episode 9. By then, the show would only have 4 more episodes to go. The show is called "Puella Magi Madoka Magica", so there must be some point during the show she becomes a Puella Magi, yes? I'm kinda interested to see what her super Puella Magi potential would look like.

      There's a 99% chance she'll become a Puella Magi. Besides the title, there's also the fact that the OP animation shows some kind of transformation scene and shows Madoka running around in her Puella Magi gear. SHAFT has included content in their OP animations that is completely irrelevant to the content of the actual show before (Bakemonogatari mostly), but I'm sure SHAFT doesn't have the audacity to not make Madoka a Puella Magi. The other 1% chance is if a second season is in the works which would somewhat justify everything in a way, but that doesn't seem likely either.

      I have been rather curious about this too... Even if she does become a Puella Magi in episode 8, it seems rather late in the game for the girl who's supposed to be our main heroine. XD In fact, it doesn't seem like anything major is going to be accomplished in this short amount of time the series has left. Or, maybe Shaft is tricking us and it's actually a 26 episode anime. DDD: I don't really think it would happen, but you never know with them.

      Actually... I wouldn't be surprised if Madoka became a Puella Magi on the very last episode. fff
