Worried Saber - For Good Reason

I said I'd post any new information about this and here it is. I just got informed that the package has been officially declared lost. Way to go postal system! Sigh.

I came across Saber looking like this this evening.
Saber, what's the matter? You look down.
Saber: "I saw something bad on your computer and I'm very worried."
What are you worried about? Why don't you sit down and tell me about it.
Saber: "I saw your email about a new friend coming to live with us but that she has gone missing. What's going to happen to her, do you think she'll be ok?"
Saber: *Pleading eyes* "You have to do something to help her! I can't imagine how terrible it must be to be lost all alone."
Unfortunately there's not a lot I can do directly to help her. I have contacted the authorities though and they are trying to find her and get her safely here, but at this point all we can do it wait and hope.
I know you're upset about this, I am too, but we're just going to have to be strong. I'd rather we not tell the other girls about this as there's no need for them to worry as well. Here, your lion can keep you company.
Saber: "Are you sure there's nothing more we can do to help her?"
Unfortunately I am.
Saber: "Well, if there's really nothing we can do I guess it's probably best not to tell the others. Since they don't know she was coming they won't miss her. We'll keep it just between you me and Mr. Lion."

Saber: *Sniff* "I sure hope everything ends up ok. Don't you Mr. Lion?"

Sigh, the postal service has managed to lose my latest DD sent EMS. It made it in country and that's the last of it. It's been 10 days since that time with no updates. I've had the sender request a trace but no updates so far. It's quite frustrating.
I know the pictures are dark, but for once it's intentional. I can't claim to be a wizard photographer but I thought Saber's face being somewhat in shadow helped convey the mood.
Thanks for letting Saber and I vent our frustrations.
I had some EMS stuff from Japan (including from Volks and AmiAmi) get stuck the same way this past week, too. It finally updated saying it was released from customs, after almost a week, day before yesterday, and then showed up today even though there hadn't been any tracking info about it leaving San Francisco. I wouldn't worry too badly, clearly something is up with customs and the USPS and they're being slower, and providing less tracking info than usual, but stuff is getting through.
Thanks for the information. It's encouraging to hear that things are slow in general. I'm still hopeful it will show up one of these days.

Yes, very frustrating. It's so close but ... just ... doesn't ... move.... Arrgh!
To be fair there is a very large storm system that's coming into California as we speak, and we've been being hit with various strong storms for the past week and a half, so perhaps rather than risk having your package get sent out and possibly get damaged, they're delaying the shipment. It's a shame that they haven't tried to contact you however, but who knows if the shipper added your phone number to the address label in case of a problem =/
In any case, I wish you luck in your endeavors, and hope your new daughter (son?) arrives safe and sound ^^
Something seems to be slowing the postal system down in general. Probably new security procedures, but bad weather can't help either I suppose. I thought that wasn't supposed to happen in So. Cal. :)

Yes I've had a couple of other packages delayed lately as well. Of course one of them was just because the startup delivery company couldn't seem to adapt to the fact that the address they were delivering to closed at 4PM everyday. @~@

Poor Saber! I ordered some new clothes for my daughter and it is taking extra time to arrive as well.
I recently had a clothes order take a long time as well, but at least that wasn't EMS. Hopefully this whole mess clears up for everyone so we can all get our stuff.

where did you get it? and how big is it?
The lion comes with Volk's Saber casual outfit / school uniform / whatever you call it. The one with the blue skirt and the white top. It's about 5.5 inches / 14 cm long not including the tail.

So sorry to hear about the problems with getting a new girl. Saber looks worried as well. She's such a good girl. :) I bet it's just some paperwork mishap or delay and hopefully you'll be getting a delivery soon. Keep us updated.

Just a quick update for anyone still looking, it's been another week and still no updates from the USPS. Not looking all that good at this point, but I guess the inquiry isn't completed yet so they are still searching.
The postal system is going downhill... *sigh*
