The Otaku Encyclopedia

Strangely enough, my copy of The Otaku Encyclopediaarrived yesterday. I say strange, as I don't believe it's supposed to come out until October 1st. Ah well, I'm not going to complain.
After reading about it on Danny Choo, I decided that I must have a copy, so I placed an order. Just a few days ago, Borders gave me a call, letting me know that I had a book waiting for me...
I guess the best way to describe this book, is to tell you to imagine TV Tropes as a book, but only with Anime related entries. My point is that this book is ADDICTIVE, yet strangely informative. But seriously, I can't put it down. Now, will it offer you a greater understanding of techniques and styles used by your favorite directors and creators? No, probably not. Will it VASTLY expand you vocabulary? For sure.
The book is also a huge nostalgia trip for me, reminding me of days of flopped manga and Toonami.
On a dismal note however, with quotes like "Nyan! Nekomimi are so kawaii!" The mascot of the book will get on your nerves fast.
I would suggest you go pick it up as soon as it comes out!
Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go find out what Kon Cosu is.
P.S. The dust jacket-less cover is way better.
I got that book about a Month ago . Well , Its a great book and is quite addictive but The Stories of How Akihabara has changed a lot makes me Sad . Not only The Book contains a lot of Maids and Animes but also Murders, Thieves , Gangsters and such .
Its a book that packs a lot of Information even the sad ones . I for one think it is a great book that makes me understand a lot of Japan , Anime and Otaku in a Manga style Encyclopedia Book . I want a figure of Moe >.<

As soon as I find myself with a bit more money I'll try to get it. And of course, some time to actually read something that's not school related. I want to learn the important things off Otaku life XD

"Nyan! Nekomimi are so kawaii!" - Ugh, wow that sounds terrible. Saw this in a store IRL, was tempted, but I don't think there'd be anything that new or exciting.
