A Lovely Picnic in the Sun!
This morning I made Duriel a bento for his lunch with broccoli, tamagoyaki, kinpira, and chicken nanban in it. The girls were all so interested in it that we decided to make some more bento for the rest of us and go out on a picnic today! So we packed the food up into a hamper and went to find a nice sunny spot outside!
Gabriel: The weather is really very lovely today. Its warm, but not hot, and sunny with a nice breeze.
Gabi: I'm really glad we decided to come out today!
Mini Gabriel: Me too. Sometimes I think that you will get rickets from staying inside so much, mama.
Gabi: I'm fine! Don't be silly. I drink a lot of milk, and that's got Vitamin D in it, right?
Gabriel: It does, but not that much. Fortunately for you, because of your lack of strong melanin pigmentation, you can absorb the Vitamin D you require from about ten minutes in the sun a few times a week. Even though mama stays inside all the time, she's outside walking the dog at least that much two or three times a day.
Excellen: It's great that you're discussing nutrition and all, but I'd like some nutrition myself. I'm hungry, guys.
Mini Gabriel: But they're not talking about nutrition. They're talking about vitamin absorption.
Excellen: Vitamin absorption, nutrition, it's all the same thing. Vitamins come from the food you eat~
Mini Gabriel: Vitamin D mostly comes from the sun. Do you think mama should try eating the sun to get some more?
Excellen: Well~
Mini Gabriel: No! She shouldn't!
Gabi: Girl's stop arguing. Let's see what's in the picnic hamper!
Gabi: Wow! Look at that! It all looks so delicious!
Excellen: I'm glad that there's a ton, because I'm really hungry.
Gabriel: You really packed this hamper well, mama. Although, doesn't picnic food like this usually come in a different sort of container?
Gabi: Well, yes, but I don't have a picnic bento in your size. Plus, it all looks so cute packed in there!
Excellen: Come on, guys! Lets eat!
All: いただきます!
Gabriel: How wonderful! An onigiri with salmon inside! Salmon also has some Vitamin D in it, but you're better off trying to get it from the sun, mama.
Mini Gabriel: Mine has a plum in it! Mmmmm~
Gabi: Excellen, you're not going to have onigiri?
Excellen: Don't you know that pilots need a lot of protein in their diet? I have to stay in tip-top condition!
Mini Gabriel: I bet if you keep eating like that, your butt will get even bigger and papa won't love you anymore until you go on a diet.
Gabi: I dunno, I think papa would love Excellen even if she had a bigger butt.
Excellen: Maybe you~ should eat some more protein, Mini Gabriel. Your breasts might finally grow some.
Mini Gabriel: I don't think so. If your breasts would get bigger just by eating a few hamburgers, I'm sure mama would be more impressive by this point.
Gabi: You guys are really cruel. ::sobs::
Gabriel: Everything is really delicious. Food always tastes better when you're outside, eating with friends. <3
Mini Gabriel: Eating with your friends who have expansive bottoms~
Excellen: Eating with your shrimpy little friends who have no breasts~
Gabriel: But besides rice, we should also eat some protein too! These prawn look wonderful!
Mini Gabriel: I'm going to eat some chicken, since Excellen already ate all the hamburgers.
Excellen: You can have the chicken. I'm going to have this broccoli.
Mini Gabriel: I knew it! Excellen is worried papa won't like her big butt anymore and is going on a precautionary diet! Sorry, it's too late!
Excellen: I am not going on a diet. I don't need to go on a diet. Everything I eat just goes to my --
Mini Gabriel: Hair?
Gabriel: It really does, doesn't it?
Mini Gabriel: Mmmm, this chicken tastes really good!
Gabi: Now it's time for dessert, girls!
All: Yay!
Excellen: Parfaits!
Gabriel: Macaroons!
Mini Gabriel: Madelines! Gelato!
Gabi: Uh, no, sorry. Just apple rabbits.
Gabriel: It's all right. We love those too!
Gabriel: These apple rabbits are so adorable, I almost don't want to eat them <3.
Mini Gabriel: But you should!
Gabriel: I know, because they were made to be eaten, right?
Mini Gabriel: Exactly!
Gabi: Hmmmm. Having more than one Gabriel around might cause trouble eventually, seeing as they always seem to agree with one another.
Excellen: I don't know why you're worried. Gabriel will do what Gabriel wants, when she wants to do it, no matter how many Gabriels there are to agree with her.
Gabi: I guess you're right. It won't make much difference. We're doomed either way.
Mini Gabriel: But only a little bit doomed.
Gabriel: A small, adorable amount doomed. That's not so bad!
Mini Gabriel: Milk tastes to delicious when it's really cold~
Excellen: You had better drink a lot of milk --
Mini Gabriel: We've already heard that joke, Excellen.
Gabi: Stop fussing, girls, and lets all take a nap because the sun is so nice and warm.
Excellen: You don't have to tell me twice. After all that food I feel sleepy.
Gabriel: Zzzzz.
Mini Gabriel: I can hear Gabriel's food digesting!
Gabi: That's nice, pigeon . . . . zzzz.
All: Zzzz.

She is a Luts Kid Delf Darae :3 She is our newest, and this was her first time going outside and being in a photoshoot. I just love her to pieces X3

Haha! I hope you have an awesome time on your picnic as well! The spring is a great time for picnics, especially if you live in a place where it can get very hot in the summer. You have a lot of girls, so you better pack a lot of food! X3
I am sure we will have fun once we get things together for an outing. And yes, it does get really hot here in the summer so cooler springtime temps will be best for a picnic. I know I'll need lots of food for the picnic, my girls can eat more than me at times. I have no idea where it all fits either! LOL
