Workspace upgrades

Since I was starting to tire of the look of the corner desk, I decided to do some upgrades and get myself a new frosted glass desk from IKEA. Lighting underneath is provided by a set of DIODER LED strips.
Photos were shot with a Tokina 12-24 F4.0 wide angle lens on a Nikon D7000

I like your Yoko dollfie calendar. Did you make it?
Yep! Printed it myself from photos I'd taken. The other side features Rin. :)
*Sees your posters* I like MegaTokyo too.
Nice set up. The light coming from the bottom is really cool.
I recognize that frosted glass! XD
Pretty nice isn't it?
I love it! The clear glass was getting on my nerves and was a pain to keep clean. The frosted seems to to better. :D
Oh god frosted glass is so much better. I use to have a clear glass desk to. Fingerprints were driving my OCD crazy. Frosted doesn't do that nearly as much XD
Yeah... it's harder to see smudges and stuff on the frosted glass. :)
I like what you did with the dioder lights - really nice effect. I've also noticed the shelf above your dual monitors and was looking to get one like it. How many nails secure it to the wall? I'd like to get one to hold one of my surround sound speaks and some figures.
If I remember correctly, there are 3 screws that go into the wall to hold it in place. It's been so long though...
Need some specs on this beast.
Core i7-860 @2.8Ghz
16GB RAM
80GB Intel X25-M SSD
36GB WD Raptor swap disk
750GB Samsung Spinpoint F1
Radeon 6870
:)
Sweet but why put the page file on a different drive? My understanding is that its better to leave it on the ssd or get rid of it when you have plenty of ram. Also, are you going to overclock the cpu? Most get to 4Ghz fairly simply.
Its a capacity issue for me, with that amount of ram and applications it was complaining far Rio much. As for the CPU, I don't really have much of a need for the extra speed. :D
Classic Megatokyo posters FTW! Great desk setup too.
I approve of your monitor stands.
XD At some point, I'll get a swivel arm that can take both screens. For now, Windows Vista boxes will have to do. ^.^
I just think it's an excellent use for the boxes. I need to get a decent arm myself. I've got my second monitor on top of my case and it's not exactly the best location. :(
from which game is this from is it the XIV version?
I bought it at the Square Enix showcase in Tokyo last year, he's from FFXIV.
She's adorable!
This look great, When I move out, I know what desk to upgrade to.
Hope it isn't too expensive
Nope! It's just a frosted glass top ($80) plus a set of legs ($10 each). The DIODER LED upgrade will set you back abour $40.
I got me 2 of these last time I was at Ikea. They are fantastic
classy and yet futuristic ^^
What's this called? D:
nice desk, i've always wanted to get this one. but can't find one
