Welcome to the first episode of Subtokyo: Japanese Subculture Vlog!
This is episode 001.
A small segment going over the Situation between the Popular Tokyo Anime Fair, The new Anime Contents Expo, and The infamous Anime Ban inbetween the two.

anyway i'm agree with the boycott but at the same time i don't see the point to boycott tokyo anime fair actually, they should have boycott something who get more impact? but i think tokyo anime fair was bigger enough to have such impact so i don't really know :/

Maybe they just reallllly don't like Ishihara. I think I read on the TAF website that he's the chairman of the event so. Whatever :P

It's such a shame that both TAF and ACE were cancelled. Then again, at least they are recognising there are higher priorities at the moment. I most likely would've sided with ACE to support the boycotters.
Perhaps to fill in that segment, you could do one about yourself and why you're into anime/manga? I'd be interested in seeing your personal collection and any notable influences.
Not a bad idea! :D I had something somewhat like that on my mind as a possibility, I did just curate my room and reorganized everything to start vlogging there too. Thanks for the suggestion, I'll probably do a segment of myself when I get the chance then ^^

too bad tokyo international anime fair is cancelled, but i think that reasonable seeing as how much the rest of japan is in need of help i don't really think we need to have a giant fair if the time can be used to help the others...
true yeah. Right now there are more important matters. The can always rearrange this again anyways :)
