New WiP MG Zaku II Char's Custom

Char Aznable. The man. The legend. The icon. A dudefella like Char can't just pilot any ol mobile suit, he's gotta have his own. That's where his personal Zaku II comes in.

Tonight I've decided to start on this kit as my latest foray into Gunpla and plan to reduce the number of unbuilt kits I have. In reality, I -should- be doing post-construction work on some other kits I have, but this is more fun ◕ ‿‿ ◕ I also picked up the special Zeon action base that I'm eventually going to pose the zaku on. I have no intention of using the clear part bits, but I'll probably end up trimming them just for the sake of having them as opposed to leaving them on the runner.

My tools include the Tamiya basic tool set, a triangle file, nail files (so cheap and so handy), various grits of sandpaper, and my $1.50 blue knife I got from Daiso a few months ago.

I've never built a MG kit before, so I'm looking forward to it. Please bear with me as I begin my journey alongside this iconic mobile suit! :bow:
