Strike Rouge Clear Color Transformation
Hey all.
Long time lurker, first time poster (in figurefm). I bought a MG strike rouge Clear Color Version which I thought was pretty cool..That is till I finished it. I didnt like the clear pink and red pieces and decided to get rid of it by painting it a completely different color scheme. This is my first thorough custom paint job so there are quite a few bumps and bruises on my model. I gave it a mostly black with red accents color scheme and finished it off with a matte finish top coat. (now I know why Danny recommended a mask when applying topcoat lol) Btw, not sure what happened to the shoulder without the decal. It seems to have some sort of discoloration.
Oh and apologies for the failed "cool background" picture. I also really need to invest in a better camera. My cellphone pic really doesnt do it justice !
Anyways, here are the pics. Comments are welcome as well as tips !
EDIT: Finally got a hold of a camera other than my phone :]

so the red parts are still clear? Makes it interesting ^_^
Yea pretty much. I just gave the red parts a matte finish. It took me awhile to decide whether or not to keep it the glossy red or matte. Im happy with the way it turned out. I just wish I have a better camera to do this thing justice :]
What? This pic is taken with a cellphone? It's so much better than other cellphone pics because it looks awesome.
Yea I used my Sony Ericsson W995a. The poor lighting is due to my ceiling fan haha. Still, It cant compare to a high end dslr camera. I honestly only use the phone for calls text and pictures since I dont have a camera. I only recently got into photography and Im trying to save up for a beginner dslr camera.
Those clear parts are cool. You'd got once kickass mobile camera there though; Wow!
the game in background looks like Homeworld 2
