Shining Hearts Dollfie Dream Updated Pics

Just merely days ago we looked at some of the "preliminary scans" of the Shining Hearts Limited Dollfie Dream that are due to release in Dolpa 25. A fair number of people were disappointed due to the poor quality of those photos, so bad that the white balance of Neris' photos were complete off and made her looked like a white skin DD, I didn't believe it and was patiently waiting for better pictures before passing judgment. I knew DD blog will come through with better photos in a matter of time but the time is now!

Both look nice-ish... but I think I'll pass this time. Neither really make me go "omgwtfbbq!"
Indeed they look much nicer but not exactly at the "omgwtfbbq" level but the revised pics have enabled me to make proper decision on them now.

The moment I looked at the Hobby Japan scan I knew instantly the pics were too washed out to make a proper decision on them. I didn't lose hope and now I am very happy :3
Happy enough to make them your 20th & 21st daughters? lol I may go for Neris and just change her eyes. Heard that they might be Japanese exclusive just like Touhou DDs.

I like them both a lot now ^^ I knew the eyes would look better with an updated photo, but I still think they look a bit wide. I think its an effort to match the illustrations that comes off a little too wide-eyed.
Apparently Tony himself seemed to like the eyes that way... at least that's what I gathered so far. Eyes can be changed but I will keep them at default until I got a chance to see them with my own eyes first.
Well these photos are much better and really do these new DD a lot more justice! Shows whata a promo photo can do! From downright unappealing to looking very promising.
Also shows Neris' eyes are indeed darker hue. Can also see more clearly now that they're more akin to Tony Taka’s original art.
But I shall have to say no... I really must stop at a family of 3.
I have always had faith! Just by looking at the pics from the Hobby Japan scan, after taken 10 thousands Dollfie Dream photos or so; I can tell the pics were just poorly taken, and failed the emphasize the charming points of a DD.
Family of 3? Really? I remember I said something like a family of 5 was all I needed, look where that got me >:E

From reading a copy of Hobby Japan, I have to say that their pics did make Neris look to be a white skin doll. Personally, if she isn't white skin, then I can probably avoid investing. While she's still a very pretty sculpt IMO, the white skin format made her appear fairer and more delicate. I might still get her, but the motivation level has definately dropped off a little...
Different strokes for different folks I guess, I felt the Hobby Japan scan make her too pale and not as lively as she is now, all IMO of course. If she wasn't normal skin I probably won't get her :s
Neris is a definite for me. As for Airy, she looks straight up insane XD
I think those eyes work on Neris but they should have used different ones for Airy!
Not until I get them in front of my glass would I decide to keep or change their eyes.

This is very bad. I've just ordered a Yamato vmf50 Yumi yesterday. I looked at these photos and realized I like them both. Good thing both of them would be priced around $600 each(I hope). Good luck to all.
