One of lesser-available figures of wounded Rei. But we like this one a lot even though the face is somewhat scary.
1/4 scale from Kaiyodo, Wonders Showcase Plus.
Released in January 2003, so not very vintage, but still not very modern either.
There is also similarly done Asuka figure.

Seems to be a sizable discount from initial price in Japan at 24800 yen.
Surprisingly, I just looked into the confirmation email and she was listed as "Asuka Langley".
And I only noticed that now ;)
Ah! Scratch that. I have memory problems. Indeed we bought Asuka at the Anime Corner Store.
And the Rei, we got her off ebay for $118 in 2008. She was preowned, but the poor soul who sold her had a house fire and I guess had to do some fund-raising after the fact so was selling off his collection. (luckily Rei did not get damaged).
Actually with current economic conditions I expected for some time that people would start to sell their rare stuff with not too much buyers competing and so far I was right, over past year we were able to get multiple items from our wish-list at pretty good prices.
Unfortunately (for everybody) that would only continue going forward.

She's just scared, that's why it is somewhat morphed.
I considered getting this one a long time ago... but the price and the face isn't up to my liking XD
