We bought it from a UK store called 'Pets at Home' and it's based on the logo for 'Whiskas' cat food. Our cats don't eat this food but we liked it so much we had to get it. I think is was a limited promotional kind of thing, although there is one on ebay http://bit.ly/hhn6FA
The bad news is the cat that slept in it died a few weeks ago -_- although she was over 19 so did quite well!
Our other two cats never sit in it now!

I've never heard of this "ambilight" before, but it looks awesome! Was it spendy?
It's a technology developed by Philips and built into some of their TVs, this TV costs no more than equivalent models from other manufactures so in a way it wasn't spendy.
I like the word 'spendy' now....!

It's got quite a few parameters you can adjust so it can be as tame or nuts as you like. It's excellent for movies, some TV, but slightly over the top on the news.
Geometry Wars on XBox looks monster, as does Project Diva DT!

I've always been fascinated at Philips's Ambilight TVs ever since they came out. Was originally going to invest in one a couple years back, but ultimately decided against it because after considering it, I feel like the rear lights would really just make TV watching and movie watching or gaming a bit of a...I don't know how to say it really...strange?
Funny you say that, I now find it strange without it! As long as you don't get silly with the settings I genuinely thinks it improves the experience.
