stumbled across the full saber 'extra' with a feb issue of Hobby Japan, thought I could have one last indulgence and track down the QANT[T] kit...think the kit has yet to grace any UK online shops to tried HobbyLink JPN. Found it pretty much straight away & in stock.
Haven't tried out any over seas orders, usually the thought of a huge customs bill puts me off, but on this occasion I gave it a shot (since it would save me some cash!) With the current Earthquake crisis I wasn't too bothered when it would arrive but to my surprise it arrived after only 7 days!
Since this will be my last kit build I'm thinking just a pretty much straight build, maybe a custom paint job and some slight gap fills etc. nothing as adventureous as the last build. Hopefully by doing this it won't take me quite as long either! ^_^
Just finished snipping all the various parts off the runners, impressed by how many parts make up this 1/144 HG!
Shaved & lightly sanded the nub marks best I can, plan to spray all the parts so shouldn't matter too much.
I've been studying the images in the feb issue of HJ for some inspiration, can't read Japanese so open to interpretation ^_^ ...noticed some work done on head/chest fins - thinning them down so may try myself. Plan to fill some gaps on a few pieces, could add some plasti-card details here'n'there but will try to not go overboard.
Not sure what to do with transparent green GN blades? Those for sabre are hard plastic but those with QAN(T) are quite soft/bendy...can't even sand them like other pieces.

not interested to get March issue for Full Saber decal?
getting a hold of any issue of HJ is a bit hit & miss, only by chance I came across the feb issue with the full saber. Tracking down the march issue maybe good for the decals but I have a different idea for a colour theme...just had a set back with priming/paint a few parts so now looks like this maybe more of an ongoing project than initially planned!
