How long did it take from Hiroshima Peace Memorial to Miyajima-island?
I want to visit both before I graduate.

It's about a total of an hour or so. Takes about 15 minutes from the memorial to get back to the train station, then then train ride down to Miyajima is about 30 minutes, and then the ferry ride across to the island is about another 15-20 minutes.

Nice pictures! What are you shooting them with...? Are they stitched or just insane crop?

Any suggestions on places to visit would be welcomed and really nice places to eat! I'm in Tokyo at the moment for 10 days, but then I'm moving to Kyoto and onwards down south.

Nice! What did you use to shoot these? An ultrawide with a crop, or did you do a composite with multiple pictures?

He(?) used the Sweep Panorama mode that the new Sony cameras have. You just "sweep" the camera from left to right while holding the shutter down and it fires 10 frames or so, and then automatically stitches them. I haven't really tried it myself except for messing around on my GF's NEX-5, but it's pretty cool.

Hm, interesting. The only auto panorama software is played with is ICE from the Microsoft Research (MSR). It's pretty accurate, actually... :)

Nice panoramas. They came out well. Miyajima is a really nice place too.
