Well, obviously I don't know what kind of camera you are using but it looks like you're on the right track. The Nadeko one, in particular, looks really nice. Are you doing anything to them in Photoshop?

I have updated with my camera details well what was wrote on the camera. Thankyou I will try and do what ever I did then I think it was more light from the window coming in. I know how to use photoshop but the most I do to them is resize them. Is there anything I can do in photoshop?

Experiment a bit, whatever you did for Sengoku Nadeko was good.
I don't know exactly how your setup is but judging from only what I can see, I would say try to make the light source stronger and bring it to the front of the figure more.
Try out different angles and locations of your light source.

Not bad! I would say mess around with your lighting and camera settings! Having a good camera or lens or light doesnt make a good photographer, its all about technique :)
But so far, i like them! Maybe changing angles and adding light on certain parts would help

I got to disagree with you there. Light is a very important part of photography. Technique is to know how to control the light.
Even a new photographer can take wonderful photos if the settings happens to be right.

I use to use a light box but it limited my creativity. plus the lamps that came with it sucked.

This will help you, a lot: http://myfigurecollection.net/picture/8294

Try setting the aperture to manual and setting it a bit more open, or set to aperture priority..

The book "Digital Photography for Dummies 4th edition" by David D. Busch has a lot of good tips and tricks.

When it comes to figure photography I find reading the tutorials at Happy Soda a good read. Why do extra work tweaking digitally when you don't have to. Although it is a good idea to pick up on that to fix random hiccups here and there.
