April Loot (lots of CDs)

all 4 "Debutante" CDs & "Magnet"
I had never seen the "Debutante" albums on sale before, and while the music quality is uneven, I lept at the chance to buy them.

Upper left: Hiromi Haneda's "Best+3" is a compilation album of her piano covers of ZARD hits. While I am not a fan of ZARD directly, Hiromi's piano covers are amazing.
Upper right: Kokia's "Musique a la Carte" is a compilation album of some of her best English lyriced songs, including "Amazing Grace," "Scarborough Fair," & "Bridge Over Troubled Water."
Bottom: This is the hard to come by "White Album" OST with OP/ED & insert songs CD. I really enjoyed this soundtrack even though I did not care for the series itself.

Acquisition of this CD set is what caused me to I wanted to make this post. This is the complete "Kara no Kyoukai" OST collection by Yuki Kajiura. These CDs were released only with the special edition DVD releases of said movies in Japan. I am a huge Yuki Kajiura fan, so not being able to reasonably buy these soundtracks was a big disappointment. However, I had been tracking someone who was trying to sell his entire KnK SE DVD collection on ebay for the past few months. Having not sold his DVDs at his asking price, I made an offer for just the CDs. While the CD set still cost me an arm and a leg, I was able to buy all 7 OSTs! The inferiority of mp3 rips to CD quality music was rarely so obvious as when I first played one of the discs.
