SIC Kamen Rider Stronger
So it's been more than year since I last posted here, been busy after I got work but, of course, collecting was not stopped one bit XD And recently, I've finally managed to open up my SIC Vol 55 and had a little figure photo shoot session as well with it. And here's a little feed back with it ^^
Stronger's well "imagined" as his SIC rendition really had let's say a big difference especially with his head smaller and less bulky armor.
His LED light gimmick was actually great IMO; it really stands out on the shots I took last weekend, the light also makes a good mini-light in pitch darkness :p And bandai also added a nice touch to it by providing the pack release with a battery already. The battery's an LR44 type, a big LR44 type I think (based from the instruction manual's picture), I didn't bother opening his back as well XD (they're screwed as well and I didn't have a screwdriver nearby that time)
Articulation's good enough to create decent poses although as the price to pay for the LED gimmick, Stronger was removed of every right to have even 1 point of neck articulation which is the really really bad side of it all. You'd have to adjust his torso instead to actually make his head look like it's moving.
Lastly, like a major number of SICs, Stronger also has some swap parts for the chest, face and shoulder pads; these parts are for the Charge Up form, it's basically the same mold as the regular Stronger parts, but the chest and shoulder pads get additional silver trims and the face's horn is now silver as well. No part of the articulation is changed here and you can still fire up Stronger's LED gimmick even in Charge Up form.
He's pretty neat in many ways just really disappointed in the neck, but some people modded the neck so it can have articulation and still keep the LED gimmick intact; how they did it, I have no idea XD So, that's it for the short feedback ^^ Will be posting more in the future for other figures as well (not just SICs)

I have to say the figure looks pretty good, I haven't been able to look into kamen rider, since subbed episode are hard to come buy, but kamen rider stronger was one that really want to see.
agreed, I really wanted to watch the showa rider series (aside from Amazon and Black since those were the only ones I've watched) but there's a lack of them releases XD
This looks so much better than the bulkier TV show look. Actually looks quite badass!
It's definitely a huge improvement from the TV design, he looks like an American Foorball Player in the TV design IMO XDD
