This old album is over 10 years old. What does it holds?
Lots of rare Pokemon TCG holofoil cards from the 90s.
These used to cost a lot, well at least to a kid, back then. Not sure about now.
Finally got this Mew card recently.

Well that brings back some memories, my lil brother ended up with all my old Pokemon stuff and now he exactly like I was at that age XD
Oh! I remember back then in early 2000 when I played that pokemon card games many of my friends havin these kind of folders full of rare cards ^^.

Alas, I gave my cards away. Lost interest in the TCG about around 2006... I think Gundam caused it LOL.
I still have my old cards...
I think I am going to sell them off, since they are just taking space now in my house
(if anyone is interested, they are all japanese, dating back from the beginning. VERY used conditions, and it may vary).
These are early edition cards from the Pokemon Red and Blue era. I have a friend who still plays Pokemon TCG and the cards they use now are confusing.
My Charizard deck is still intact in my drawer though. =)
I only play the generation 1. different generation cards cannot be mixed together to form a deck right?
Yup. Aside from the back of the cards being different, the later generations come with some new rules. However, you can have different generational decks fighting each other.
But older generations would likely have their butts kicked by the new ones...

Yes indeed. I stopped at the Team Rocket expansion as booster packs are getting too expensive.
Back then I had no idea of how much these costs and just look at the collection/deck of my brother...
I wish I still had my collection, I would honestly like to know what I did with them all of those years ago.
Neat collection. When the Pokemon hysteria started I was into the anime and the video game, but I was not interested in collecting the cards.
Ha! I got a similar binder filled in from 1-250, or whatever the second generation was. Making me feel like restarting my collection :/

Nevertheless I enjoy to watch the series or play Pokemon with my nintendo. x3 It's part of my childhood.
So many rare cards, I used to collect them too since I was 8 (but I have stopped when I was 15... I have discovered new hobbies)! I have completed all the Base set, Jungle set, Fossil set, Team Rocket set, Gym Leaders set, Gym Challange set... I left some cards on the others sets^^'

I still have my pretty sizeable collection...I stopped playing long time ago, only collecting now...but I think I will be giving the TCG hobby up for figures.
Promo cards are very rare... Usually can only get from magazine, convention and exhibition.
Maybe rare to overseas, but in the US should be quite easy to get.
