Vanishing Trooper Huckebein Mk-II
With the poll result from my last loot thread i decided to make the 1/100 Huckebein Mk-II being one of the first kits to be built. First of all don't mistake this mecha with Gundam despite having close resemblance with it though you can consider it as Gundam's illegitimate son literally. Since this kit is rather hard to get i decided to repaint most of the parts to look better. It turns out that the paint result is darker but great nonetheless.
Being the first 1/100 SRW kit, Mk-II has several issues with the joints and articulation is inherently flawed for SRW kit but at least it is one of the better old SRW kit. Though i have no complain with this kit in terms of look.
If you are interested in the background of this mecha you can find further information in My Blog

This is one of the 2 1/100 SRW kit that comes with the figurine of the pilot. Probably Kotobukiya decided to add the figurine since this kit lacks of feature at the time it was released.

With this kit finished i managed to complete my 1/100 SRW kit once and for all ^_^(unless Koto decided to add another 1/100 SRW kit) and thus i completed one of my goal for this year. If you still want to find the 1/100 Huckebein Mk-II you can still try your luck in Yahoo Japan Auction where you can get this kit around 2000 yen(not including shipping & middleman fee) if you are lucky.

Alt-Eisen is alive!!
I think it really doesn't matter how the artiulation as long as the parts don't fall off(and that isn't even an issue for a decent modeler). As long as the model looks good it can be worked on. So I don't think people should shy away from kits just because they're "old" or their "articulation is bad". I think quite the opposite. That building these models help to strengthen a modeler's abilities.
that's true but these kinds of model kit are not beginner friendly in the first place since some of them doesn't look that good when built straight out unlike Gunpla which makes the modeller would be disappointed with the lineup. SRW kits are still okay when compared to old Bandai kits and FSS kits though.
