Who's that girl? A DDS !!!
Well, one of my dreams has come true.
I have been wanting a younger sister for Manami for a while now. Well, really ever since the first pictures of the DDS body were released. I thought it would be so cool to have a smaller version of her for Manami to lavish attention on and have the same head mold.
I knew this project would take a LONG time to try and finish since Volks was dragging their feet about the DDS bodies so I was not in a rush. Luckily, fate smiled upon me and one of my best friends, Zakuro, got in touch with me to ask about my plans for Manami's little sister.
Zakuro asked if I would be interested in doing a deal so that I could aquire a DDS body for my project. I was shocked that she would offer me this since she JUST got both Touhou girls in from Japan. I had no idea Zakuro had plans for one of them to have her head fitted to another body so it was a bit of a shock.
But since I had the Saber Maid set and was not going to use it, I offered it to Zakuro as part of the deal and she agreed. I won't get into any details but let's just say that Zakuro was EXTREMELY generous with the deal and I was overjoyed to be able to get a DDS coming my way!
So after I got the body mailed to me, I had to find a head for it. Volks had none and the only blanks available were from Dollfie World at a price hike. I was almost going to get one of those until I saw something on Flickr that was for sale. The pics were not so hot but I knew in my heart that this head WAS my new girl. So I purchased it and got it within a week or so.
I had the DDS body sitting here at home waiting for over 3 weeks until the head arrived. Do you know how HARD it was not to tell my friends about this plan of mine?? XD I was so freaked out when I finally got her all together, I just went crazy taking pics and such.
But now after all my plans have been finally realized, I present to you good people of Figurefm, my brand new daughter and Manami's little sister....

Rei - "I'm dead right? Is this hell or purgatory?"
Miyuki - "Oh she's cute! Heyyy!"
Yoko - "Hello there! Nice to meet you!"
Manami - "Here, sit down and relax for a minute sis."
Manami - "So how was Europe?"
Mamimi - "Oh it was very nice. Very pretty and so many great places to see!"
Manami - "You must be hungry sis, please. Eat my share."
Mamimi - "Are... are you sure?"
Manami - "Of course I'm sure. I rarely eat this much."
"Rei, did I just hear Manami offer HER food up?"
"Yes, you did and so did I. We are all done for."
Manami - "Well, since it's getting late, Mamimi and I will turn in early and let yall be."
Mamimi - "Thank you very much for the food. It was nice meeting you all!"
Miyuki - "She was so nice! And she had great manners too!"
Mai - "Hey! Where's all the sushi gone to?"
Rei - "The taiyaki are all missing as well. I did not even see anyone touch them! How did that happen?"
Manami - "Do you have any bed clothes dear?"
Mamimi - "No, I had to pack light to save money."
Manami - "That's fine, we have some extra clothes you can sleep in. I'll be right back with them."
"It's so nice to see Oneesan again! She hasn't changed a bit!"
Manami - "Here you are Mi-chan. This should fit you fine."
Mamimi - "Oh! That's so nice! Are you sure I can wear that?"
Manami - "Yes, it's fine. We have plenty of extras."
Manami - "Oh, you're so sweet in that!"
Mamimi - "Thank you Oneesan. You're pretty as usual."
Mamimi - "Oneesan... I'm so happy I finally came home. It was hard to find you since you left North Carolina."
Manami - "I'm sorry about that. But Papa has been wonderful to me and my other sisters. you will enjoy living here too."
Mamimi - "I don't ever want to be away from you again Manami! Promise me you won't leave!"
Manami - "It's ok Mamimi, I'm here now and I won't leave you. Now lets get some rest. You've had a big day."
Manami - "Goodnight Mi-chan. Tomorrow will be a big day too."
Mamimi - "Ok Oneesan. Goodnight."
Manami - "Sleep well my imouto."

Thats your problem. If you want to get rid of them, you need to try to _include_ them in the shot. Therefore ensuring that they will disappear. ^_^

She kind of is isn't she? =3 Mamimi is very close to her isster so they have a good "skinship" going. Mamimi can sometimes be a bit clingy tho so Manami has to remind her to back off a bit. You'll see them in action a lot more in the future. ^_^

Thank you! I have yet to try any really crazy positions but I'll be doing a photoshoot of her by herself soon to share here. So far she is really cool to move around... like her arms and legs. She sits seiza better than the others and can have her arms closer to her body more easily. I'll do more soon and let you know.

OMFG, you DID do what I thought you did! @_@ Whoa. Well, congrats! I have to ask, how's the dentist body feel? I've only ever handled the DDDy, so I'm curious.
Also, whoa, Manami's playing MAJOR favorites, and that could get dangerous. Mamimi seems like she's quite sweet and sensible, though, so I expect she'll get along well with Rei on her own for the most part. I just hope the poor girl doesn't get stuck playing mediator TOO often!
And now you fially see why I said Manami will have to grow up a bit soon! XD

Manami has decided she needs to step up to the job of Oneesan now. So yes, she will play favorites with Mamimi but Rei will still run the household. And while Rei will probably get along with Mamimi once they hang out alittle, I do see them butting heads over Manami getting into trouble with snacks and other things. mamimi is kind of sensitive when it comes to her Oneesan. But she isnt near as flighty as Manami and has a good head on her shoulders. She will be my sweet and shy girl excpet when it comes to Manami.... then she'll get fired up and a bit bossy. XD
Heh, that's what I call the DDS body. Think about it, if scientists are PHDs, and doctors are MDs, what do you see trailing dentists' names? 'Course, the only way I remember that is because of how Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors introduces her abusive, sadistic dentist boyfriend. XD

I think there was also an old '60s American cartoon show called The Super Six. Why yes, here it is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Super_6 . The one thing I was really concerned about is the DDIF being continuous like that of a DD2 and a DDDy and not discontinuous like the MDD. It really is annoying when Namiko's body comes apart at the worst possible circumstances. The arms are pretty bad for that. Sometimes it's a feature to be able to take the arms apart, but most of the time it's just a bug.
Ahh ok. Well fear not, the DDS is the same as the DII and DDdy in that its all one internal frame. I took pics today of her in all sorts of poses and I should have them up here in a day or two. You'll enjoy seeing them!

It's hard to find that kind of body even we have some money to dispose on it.
It was not easy but I was extremely lucky that Zakuro helped me get it. Without her, I cuold not have done this at all!

Somehow or another Balldylox's Rei is related to Sarge. We've already established that. We know Sarge's apparent history...however, she is an Army brat, and there has always been rumors of weird doings in the Armed Forces. Is there a NERV connection somewhere in the Swanigan and/or Flannery families? That's classified, civilian!
Yes, we know Rei and Sarge have a family conenction somewhere along the line. Which to me, is really cool. As for the NERV connection.... I can't really say. Jun97's Rei-chan was a really great girl... I think she was from the same batch as mine. But she had something a little different about her. I think maybe a better grip with her emotions and how to deal with them. And I think the "link" all Rei's share gave that ability to my Rei. Maybe this link exists in Sarge and it hasn't been established yet due to no close proximity to another Rei? It would be interesting to see what happens if that were to occur....
I hope one day for Sarge and your Rei to meet.

Ha ha! Mamimi isn't as much of a little piggy as Manami but she can pack it in just as well as her Oneesan. Rei will have to keep a close eye on them both now! =3

Yes, Millhi has the upgraded version of the DDS that I have on Mamimi. Thank you about my Yoko! She is very special to me. =3 I'm glad you were able to adopt that Yoko from here, it looks like you will give her a good home. ^_^
