Sora's Custom Clothing
Half a year ago, Sora came to me as a plain DD Akiyama Mio with nothing but her default clothing and one of my goal, ever since her arrival, has been to replicate Kasugano Sora from Yosuga no Sora. I started of with buying her a white wig which was one of K. Sora’s major characteristics and was quite satisfied with the result until others decided to make their own Sora doll and left me in deep envy X3 Some did a fantastic job at it and right then and there, I knew I had to somehow get one of Sora’s default clothing made whatever the cost.
Wouldn’t make much sense calling Sora Sora if she didn’t look like one either^^;
I initially thought his would be challenging with my lack of resources but thanks to google-sensei, a few minutes search brought me to a reputable DD dealer’s site who makes just about anything and there I placed my order for a Kasugano Sora’s gothic-lolita clothing. Although it was a hefty price to pay and a long long wait, I think it came out all right.
……actually, I think this is the best clothing Sora has ever worn (｀・ω・´)

Photos were taken near the vicinity of my house as usual. I seldom take pics inside my room anymore because I hate having to tinker on and on with the lighting and camera settings. Taking pics under natural light is just so much easier.
Black Rabbit doesn’t speak much these days because he knows what he’s going get if he opens his mouth in front of Sora. Something like this I presume.
The color of K. Sora’s hair differs in the works she appears. In the original VN, her hair is ivory-white while in the anime it seemed closer to gray-ish silver.
If you're unfamiliar with Yosuga no Sora, here is the pic of Sora in her default clothing I had the seamstress make.
I know the gray wig she has on is a bit too strong even from the anime standard and have tried putting her previous white wig on.
Strangely though, it didn’t seem to work well at all.
Somehow I felt this gray hair makes a better contrast to her clothing. Pure-white hair and her gothic-lolita clothing doesn’t create a good color balance and maybe it was because of this the anime creators at Childstar decided to give Sora a darker hair? hmm..
Still…I think I'll be needing wig with a lighter color....

We’ll leave the house around 5 am to meet up with a couple of comrades from the Yahoo jp blog community and arrive at Big site around 6:30.
Sora: Why do we have to be up so early?
Believe me, I too don’t want to wake up this early. Especially when I have no plans to buy the limited dollfies or clothes by Volks. By the time I realized anything was happening, the schedule was already set so we’ll just have to go with that^^;
Aura: And I’m sure you’re taking me as well?
It’ll be heavy with the 2 of you plus the camera but yeah I think I can manage.
Aura: Good then. We’ll keep an eye on you so that you won’t go flirting with other girls like last time.

They're really good and prove it is worth the time and effort for the lighting and set up as you snapped really terrific photos of Sora. Helps also that your garden seems like a great setting for DD photo shooting.

that dress is sure some God-like work (o.O) I can imagine it cost a fortune, but the way Sora looks now, I think it's very well worth every Yen (=ω=)

While comparatively cheaper than the other clothes I had to win over at YJA this is still one of the most expensive I had to buy for Sora. Kinda weird for them to ask such high a price when I heard fellow comrade got their cosplay DD clothing made elsewhere 1/4 the price ;)
wow, for 1/4? was the material and craftmenship as good? because the one Sora is wearing now is VERY well done, the details are just amazing. Like the outfit that I won from ramcot_snow eariler... it was stupid expensive, but the details on it was really top notch.

Gray makes a good contrast with her clothes but may come back to white wigs in the coming days depending on how Dollpa goes ;3

Your Sora looks just like the characters in the anime. You should be proud of your accomplishment.
Also, it looks like Sora and Aura have set aside their differences and teamed up to keep their eyes on you. Dual keyblade masters? Better be careful.

They did a very nice job with that dress, it looks just like the drawing you provided. I agree perhaps an ivory wig would get you even closer. Your Sora's always been a very nice looking girl though and you do such a good job showing her off with your photography.
Have fun at the Dolpa but you'd better be very careful as you're probably still on thin ice with the girls from the April fools day joke.

Lovely custom clothing for her. She really is looking like K. Sora now. Hope you find a good wig at Dollpa! Something in between both girls current colors would be good. They say imitation is a sincere form of flattery, but I think most folks, including myself think of your doll when we think of Sora ^_^

I think a wig somewhere in between the true white and the grey wig you currently have would be the perfect colour for her hair. As always, you have amazing taste in dollfie clothing. ^_^
