Belldandy & Holybell by Volks!

Posted by Katsuboy

Wanna see what a $700+ figure looks like? Take a gander at my Belldandy & Holybell figure by Volks! This is, actually, the second one I have. The first one is from the original run of 3000 or something? I paid over $1000 for that one!

I never did put together the original one. It's still in the trunk/case it came in. But since I have two, I thought I'd put together the "cheaper" one :P This figure is huge! It's also quite fragile.

That still has to be one of the most beautiful figures out there on the market.

<3 Belldandy. One of my first 2D loves. Ohh the good ole days.

It took me years to track down someone selling one of the original ones.

Actually, the only reason I was able to get her was because, during his auction, nobody managed to reach his minimum bid price, and I had the highest bid, so we worked something out :)

This is an amazing beautiful sculpture. What scale is it?
There has been a couple of versions of this figure. I've seen big ones and one quite small from Max Factory. It was shown on the 9th issue of Hobby Japan back in 97 and it was 1/10 scale. I think the one from Volks is already pre-painted, isn't it?

I can't remember what scale it is, but I did buy a 1/10 scale for $99, I think? It was crap, though :(

And yes, this one's prepainted. A chunk of her hair actually broke off during it's trip through the mail. Luckily, I was able to just stick it back into place, haha!

If only I had the money to buy 1. She's so beautiful. She'll be a good center piece of any display. If you didn't know Belldandy, you'll think she's a religious figurine of some sort.

I'm just glad credit cards were invented :P I don't think I've seen a full episode. I just really liked the figure when I first saw it years ago.

Wow, that's amazing! I saw an example in one of the Kotobukiya showrooms in Akiba and though to myself "wouldn't that be great to bring home?" Then I remembered the size of my suitcase and worried that they wouldn't survive the trip...

Wow, quite the pricey figure >.< From afar, it looks pretty good, but yea the face just seems off especially for Holybell.

This is a very old figure (I'm almost completely sure it was labeled "Vintage" once). Well, the price tag is expected since Cold Cast figures really are pricey (I believe this is cold cast), what more with those extravagant detailing on the clothes and wings?

Sigh... I die everytime I see this figure. :(
