Kenji's Yuri Review

So my Yuri arrived the other day. I am really pleased with this figure- when I first saw the preview on the GSC site, I had some concerns about her legs. The pictures gave the impression of "muffin leg"- like muffin tops except on the legs. It ended up not being too distracting- although the pose has something to be desired.

I don't know if it was only my copy but there was a decent amount of manufacturing debris on the model. For example, on the legs there was a light coating of white powder that wiped off easily. There was also some flesh colored globs on her face- which also came off easily. You can see it on the left side of Yuri's face in image 7128.

She attaches to a standard base via two pegs. They fit snug as expected from GSC. Nothing special. That aside, the figure itself is great. Her hair color is vibrant and the colors are accurate to the anime. The detail work is excellent- her gun (see the ridges and small buttons) and the SSS emblem are quite detailed. Some minor seams are visible but nothing that would detract from the model. Her undies are cute although my favorite piece is the hair. It frames her face really well.

Overall I would definitely recommend Yuri to any collector. While there are some small issues, they do nothing to detract from the overall effect. If you are an Angel Beats! fan, this is a no brainer.
