Hoshikawa Kanata cosplay!

Hi everyone!

This is my first time posting on here! So yeah, I'm a bit of a newbie.

Yesterday there was a cosplay event in Toronto. It was held in a small Japanese park, but sadly it was still too cold and there were no blossoms. I took this chance to cosplay one of the dannychoo.com mascots, Hoshikawa Kanata!

Ever since I saw one of my cosplay idols, Maridah, cosplay Mirai, I've really wanted to cosplay Kanata because she's such a cute character! (The mascot with the black hair running around on the top of the page~) I've been a reader of the website for I think a year now, and it's a great way to find out info about Japanese culture and anime/gaming news!

I didn't have time to make the blouse/top sailor fuku thing because it was on such short notice. I decided to make my own little variation which included of the orange skirt, white dress shirt, orange neck bow, and cream coloured cardigan. I also had her black thigh high socks with the pink ribbons, her hair bow, glasses, and a pin that had the orange diamond 'D' like found on the sleeves of the blouse version.

I know this cosplay isn't completely accurate, but I'm going to redo it for the official version! My black wig normally has straight cut bangs, and kept on reverting back after I tried doing Kanata's side part.

I hope you like the pictures, any constructive criticism is welcomed.
I'm still not a very good cosplayer, and need to work on facial expressions and poses, so please help me XD
