Dead Master Pixtone figure recreated in Minecraft!

Posted by monev

I started playing Minecraft a little while ago, and decided that my first monument style project would be to recreate Pixtone's Dead Master figure! Seeing as the figure is already cubic in nature, it was basically begging for it! The only source images I had were from the front, so I kinda had to use some imagination for how the back looks

So here a screen shot of the monument, as well as a video "boat around" tour.

This was a solo project on a private multi-player survival vanilla server. No mods, hacks, flying, item gifting, or exploits were used in its creation. Just a lot of punching of sheep and farming cactus.

Including the man-made island it contains 400+ blocks of wool (it adds up surprisingly quickly), and 36 blocks of obsidian (horns, wings, hands, and feet).

You're welcome. Now I just have to figure out what to do with the 15,000 blocks of cobblestone I put in storage during my search for daimonds.

I've been resisting Minecraft for quite a while, now. Now that I've got my new computer I suppose I don't have an excuse anymore, especially since I keep seeing cool stuff like this.

What's to resist? Its pretty cheap and it's exactly as fun as you want it to be! building monuments isn't even where I'm putting most of my efforts. I'm more enthralled by designing and building complex automatic subway systems, and most recently logic circuits to drive them.

        You too?
I'm also allways busy with creating automated Mass Transit systems.

With the new powered rail system it is less complicated, only to start the system is difficult, because it still requires a glitch boost. (I host my own vanilla server)

Yeah the powered rails are still no substitute for old boosters. Right now my main station is powered by a door booster which also catches another booster parallel to it so both fling the riders cart at once, for about 2km over flat land.

I do use powered rails to wisk away empty carts to the hopper once the ride exits the cart at the destination.

You could always use an inventory hack. Minecraft is all about creating after all. XD

Making an artificial cavern, however... T_T

        Aritificial caverns? Easy.
Lots on TNT = big caves.

Fill the side of a mountain with a honeycomb of narrow hallways, inspect hallways for resources in the mountan, fill hallways with TNT, ignite, run.

I salute you, ours was built with hacked blocks after Dizeh flipped out, LOL, although to be fair colored wool wasn't in the game when we made ours so it was all obsidian and diamond.

I noticed that. I guessed it was made in the alpha, when you just pick from the list of blocks. Tho if there was a way to get some green daimonds I would have used them for the eyes.
