Off to Odaiba
Finally decided to go to Odaiba and the timing was perfect. It took 3 trains from my hotel to the special Yurikamome train and it was all underground. Really made me think about how extensive the train networks really are in Tokyo. The ride was nice with some lovely scenery including the Rainbow bridge. Fuji TV had a huge function going on and I got to do their building tour which is really surprising because of the large number of shows represented. Also checked out the Panasonic center but only got a couple of pics because of the no photo policy. I headed to Aqua City for lunch before anything else and got a great burger at Kua'Aina although I had to wait 30 minutes. Aqua City has a ton of food places including a few familiar faves, a great omiyage store and a large pet shopping area. I really love the way they go all out including their store designs. Eventually, I ended up at the Oedo Onsen for a great hot bath and some good food before heading back to the hotel. Really a top notch day.

Mirai-Kan. The museum of the future.

Om-Rice restaurant. Gotta try this before I leave Japan.

That's avocado. Tasty stuff.
Lovely shot of Rainbow Bridge.
I wanted to get one at night but they didn't light up the bridge like they used to.

I was surprised to see her.
Can you tell me more about the Oedo Onsen?
Are those Matsuri looking thingies always there?? (stands etc)
Price? Is it mixed? :)
Yeah, they built a replica of a small town inside so that after you are done bathing, you can eat, drink and do some shopping. Price is almost 3000yen but they were having a discount and I paid about 2100yen. No mixed bathing you ecchi onna. LOL
Ey, I was just curious :p

Looks good
Oh nice! I grew to like these kind of gardens. Nice! :) Missing a few colorful flowers though.
Seen images before, but now I can see where the fox shrine is now located :). Awesome!
It was a great view up there of both the shrine and Tokyo Bay.
I miss these guys. Used to watch them on Spike TV and then some Chinese channel lol.
The Glasses Man is still everywhere in Tokyo.
Tokyo tower!
Still have to go there before I leave.
Awesome post again!! I was waiting patiently for your next post !! XD Very nice pics. The only time I went to Odaiba was back in 2009, when the Green Tokyo did the 1/1 RX-78-2 Gundam Project for the 30th anniversary. 気をつけて!それじゃあ!
I'm jealous you got to see the Gundam as I still haven't.
I was lucky enough to see it again back in Shizuoka for the Hobby Fair right before they disassembled it again. But don't worry, as I think they will rebuild it again at it's final resting place at the Bandai headquarters. Maybe it'll be modified again, like what they did with the beam saber back in Shizuoka. Though, I sadly missed the closing ceremony on March 27th, as we left in the day, here you can watch it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uewr2AMlHHY&feature=related Keep those post coming! They're all very awesome!! :D
Thanks for the link. Awesome what they did with the lights and movement. Wish they could make it so the Gundam raises the beam sword up in the air.
This looks really tasty.
It was. I like matcha ice cream.
Sad looking mascot? :P
Gachapin always looks like that. LOL
