Kenji's Ryouko Ookami Review

It took a bit for me to get around to creating this review- this is the Ryouko Ookami figure from the Ookami-san to Shichinin no Nakamatachi series that originally aired from July 2010-September 2010. Ookami-san is a flat-chested hero who kicks deadbeat's butts with her Neko-Neko knuckles. This version was produced by Alter and retailed for 6800 JPY though could be found for 6,120 JPY or less.

When I first got her I thought I had made a mistake. I didn't take a long look and promptly just set her box aside. I figured that I had just gotten another ho-hum figure that would just end up back in her box. I took her out put her on my light box and promptly forgot about her till today.

I took a closer look and as expected from Alter, the figure was flawless out of the box. I took an even closer look and started to be impressed.

From her briefcase, to her Neko Neko knuckles, to her boots, to her face- everything was detailed. Looking at her mouth you can see her little fang- and her expression is so tsun. Her outfit which flows and creases like it would in real life while not the sexiest in the world does reveal some leg- and her boots while demure have a really cool paint job. Another neat detail is the buckle that brings her scarf together. Her hair is pretty standard fare. Her colors are simple fare as expected from the anime. I do wish her figure really had her in action. In my opinion the walking pose is boring.

If you want a figure that "pops" and impresses your friends, this one is not for you. If you like a figure that gets better after some exploring and teasing, Ookami-san may be the tsundere you are looking for. Alter does not fail you here- quality all around.
