Kalafina for Anime Expo 2011

So anyone here is going to AX this yr and will go to the concert?
- The interesting part is that the concert will be help on July 2nd, which is also Hikaru-san's birthday ^^
This is definitely tempting me to attend AX. I hope Yuki Kajiura makes a special appearance. Still on the line about AX, but definitely keeping my eyes open for more guests of honor, especially musical ones.
my only request is Mizuki Nana...but i guess its hard! :)
I think AX usually has two or three musical guests right? I don't remember last year since my only focus way on the May'n and Megumi Nakajima concert. XD

Same here, the concert was awesome. The concert and getting chance to meet Danny Choo definitely made going to AX last year worthwhile.
i hope i will able to catch Kalafina's autograph session this yr ^^
When I saw them at AnimeBoston, Yuki Kajiura made an appearance at the encore :D Still hoping to see Kawada Mami there ^^;
Dude, yes that would be awesome if they got Mami Kawada as well. But I'm still holding on to the hope that JAM Project will make an appearance.
Very nice. Danny Choo and Kalafina. I think that's a pretty solid lineup already. I won't be going though 'cause I've already spent so much money on other cons and figure orders.

Ooooohh! I saw them at AnimeBoston 2 years ago without knowing who they are, but I fell in love with their songs and style quite quickly. Most likely will see :D
I love their music but it's a disappointment I'll miss out on this. Can't even go there to view. Hope theres another chance.
Never been to a Japanese music concert before. I might consider this.
They're pretty nice. For the most part, Japanese music artists have really good stage presence. There tends to be a lot of audience participation as well, but of course it depends on the crowd: the Japanese tend to be more into the concerts than American anime fans.

I admit to not hearing anything from or of Kalafina. But I am familiar with FictionJunction, and this just essentially sounds like "FictionJunction lite" to me. It lacks Yuuka, but that's fine. All the ladies in FJ are talented and beautiful singers.
I WILL be going to A concert, I am just not 100% sure if I will be going to the concert just yet though. Have to wait until I see who else shows up as a GoH. But I am losing faith at this point in time. Less than 2 months until the con and they haven't really Announced much. I do suspect that May'n will be back this year though, but I fantasize about a JAM Project concert (or even just Yoshiki Fukuyama)

Yeah AX likes to wait till the last minute on things like musical guests. I remember the May'n and Megumi concert wasn't announced till really close to the time of the con.
YES I, too, dream of JAM Project concert as well. Though I don't think there is a big enough following here for them to actually have one here. But I'm not going to lose hope!

You should listen to more. Japan has a lot of skillful musical talent.
Do as Infinity is exceptionally awesome to listen to outside of the music they have had on Inuyasha. Even my cousin who loathes anime and jpop digs on a bit of their stuff.
But yea. Lot of good stuff out there. Anime themes have been a major source of exposure to artists for me though, so I totally know where you are coming from.

That was years ago already, and I regretted not going. Like I had mentioned earlier, I think it has something to do with popularity. The musical guests that they are inviting are well-known by the majority of anime watchers in America and they stand to make a profit by inviting them. I feel like that won't be the case if they do invite JAM Project as their popularity stems for people who are fans of mecha and the game series Super Robot Wars. The mecha genre is just not that popular here in the US. I could be wrong and I will gladly eat my words if JAM Project is announced as a guest of honor at AX at any point. But this is just my two cents.

oh hells yeah! now i actually HAVE to go to AX this year.
Hell Yeah Ive been through all AX for the past 4 years and haven,t gone to any of the concerts but this year is going to be my first time attending concert ^_^

This will be my first time going to AX so I'm very excited about it! I'm no expert but I think I've heard kalafina in Kara no Kyoukai songs, which are really good. Regarding the concert how does it work, do I enter with my weekend pass or is another expense? I'm in need of lots of help regarding AX ^^;; yoroshiku
Its separate expense for the concert and as well for the masquerade. I haven't seen you in xbox live for a while man :D
