Nakano Broadway
Finally got to visit Nakano Broadway this year as I had never heard of the place until after I returned home last trip. Best way to describe it is to say its Akiba in a building and that's no hyperbole. Got there at 11am thinking it was perfect timing until I saw that most stores open at 12am! Decided to go back and have some sushi standing up until the stores opened up and it was an awesome experience. After the sushi and some royal milk tea, I walked all around the various shops talking pics when I could. Damn "no photos" signs are almost everywhere which makes no sense to me. After finding some irresistible loot, I headed back to Shinjuku to changed some more money before heading to Ikebukuro for my fave ramen for dinner. Really wanted to walk around Shinjuku but the weather was looking ugly and I decided to save it for another day as I have 9 more days here. Gotta decide where to go next.

View from Nakano Station. Take the north exit.

Came back here after finding out nothing is happening before noon.

All this was only 1000yen. Can you believe it??

These two suspicious guys were in the hallway.

One Piece is unbelievably popular here.

This Macross poster blew me away. Gotta go back and find out the price.

Panties and nekomimi anyone?

Love Shoko's leash and tazer for Yuji.

A bunch of schoolgirls were eating the big one on the right.

Apparently this shop is famous.

Found this temple walking through Shinjuku. Nice!

Working hard in Ikebukuro. He was not alone either.

Lawson is having a pink Hello Kitty promotion

Yes! I got the last Kuroneko in all of Nakano Broadway!! Bought her as soon as I saw her.

Gonna be tough deciding which face and pose to use but the nekomimi one is leading. LOL

So much stuff... Lose control and you get bankrupt. =)
Fortunately I had done a lot of shopping in Akiba already. The temptations were there as I saw stuff
haha, I gave this figure to my friend for his birthday last monday =)
Those sets really tempted me but don't want to carry around that stuff with me for another week.
That's way to huge to be enjoyable for a cone :O
That group of school girls had no problems. Simply amazing.
The place looks amazing. I still wonder how they can eat such a enormous cone of ice cream without it falling off.
They give you spoons which makes it easier.
ur lucky someone didnt tell u off for taking photos, i had an ear full, lol didnt understand it thou from mandrake nakano employee but then again everyone thought i'm japanese until i open my mouth.
Guess they are being nicer to gaijin as there are so few left in the country. Been told at a couple of places that they are happy to see gaijin again.
OOO is sparkling!!
Serious bling eh?
AAAAHHH!!! I want these!!!! XD Awesome! Shredding letter and half smiling... wow. I hope they'll still be there next year!!
They had a ton of stuff like this all over the place.
Kenshin and Sanosuke are very nice too...
Normal version?
As normal as Allen gets. LOL
please and thank you
all this for like like $15? ô_ô i would pay like twice that at my usual place
I know, I was shocked when the girl rang it up but no complaints. Plan on going back for a second visit and will eat there again.
i would assume one girl per flavor?
*drool*
It was damn good.
glad to know i wasn't the only one who didn't know about Nakano Broadway during a first visit! now to save up more money to head back to Japan a 2nd time!
Surprised there isn't more info on that place given the huge amount of stuff I saw. If you can read Japanese, there are several stores filled with just manga.
I've seen this restaurant many times, but the fact it's a standing sushi bar makes me hesitate to go in ^^;; How's the sushi quality? Does it taste good? ^^
Haruhi & Kirino *O* *wants!*
O_O)Seems there are different versions? I bought a 4figure set (including the Ritsu I see here) but they hadn't these one yet O_O
