Onwards to our afa_cosplay entry. Both costume is still in WORK IN PROGRESS state. We're missing some blings and proper petticoats....and also need to fix the skirt n headgear parts here and there. Hopefully we'll get to finish em all in the near future!!! o/ o/ Yes yes we can do eeeet~!!! ush FIGHT FIGHT!!!!
Princess Sakura is the princess of the Kingdom of Clow, who is stripped of her memories and magical abilities by a powerful force, which take the form of feathers, and they are spread all throughout different dimensions. She is initially weak, confused, and constantly tired, but she grows stronger as she regains her feathers.
Princess Tomoyo is the princess of a feudal country called Nihon. Tomoyo is the Tsukuyomi, a powerful miko sorceress responsible for maintaining the wards of Nihon that protect the country from demons. She is also a dreamseer with the ability to see into other people's, to enter another's dreams, can send trans-dimensional messages through dreams and is able to see the future in her dreams.

Incorporating Malay traditional dance (zapin, lenggang, etc), Chinese fan dance and ‘Wayang Kulit’, the skit tells the tale of the two princesses’ journey in the realm of dreams and alternate dimensions, and also the story of their sacrifices and yearning for the men they love.

YAY CLAMP FANS UNITE!! Ahahah!! thanx~ unfortunately (?) sumomo's costume was tailored by a friend of a friend coz i was (s)partially forced(/s) rushed for a local event n i didn't have the time to do it in time. But i had the chance to make the hat n wig styling and everything poofy lol.
The leggings are basically 2 fat cylinders and scrunched up (?) at the ends plus elastic bands. it's the crotch part pattern that's a little tricky....coz it's basically guessing game and no 'typical' ref for pattern-making....but luckily we got it done sumwhat correctly after 2 tries ^__^;

Yep yep!! I always help my friends in costume making/props/wig styling......and in exchange i can always count on them when i'm pressing for time to complete my own costume LOL~ Helping each other makes cosplays a zillion times more fun!!! <3<3<3
Trial n error is part n parcel of a cosplayers life hahaha but of course it's easier on the $$$ dept when we get it right on the 1st try. DX

ehehe~!! <3<3<3 Hmm...NOOOOOhohoho no way i'm not anywhere near awsm level lol~ have to say 50-50 on the making part? partially tailor-work and partially self work. coz i honestly couldn't figure out some pattern to save my life!! (Tomoyo's multiple level of collars' a great example) so i enlisted help from a relative who's much more pro at tailoring.
