Mim's May Loot

Posted by Mim

Hai everyone,

I've had a pretty big month with interests going all over the place this time round. Hope you enjoy the pic's. Unfortunately they were taken on a less than ideal camera as my last few posts were made using a friends Nikon semi pro camera.

Most of my Nendo's were recent number releases this month however, I have a few still in Japan awaiting shipping otherwise I'm now only 4 off the first 150 that appeared on a poster included in the last Wonfes showbag.

I've decided to collect the "b" versions of Nendo's too so picked up a Cattleya 133b. Pixle Martian 139 was a little rough in tracking down as when I wanted to get her there wasn't a single one going on all of Yahoo Japan so ended up finding one on ebay at a reasonable price via a pre-order with ebay seller fununiverse.

I have all four play sets from Phat Company now adding to the K-On stage set. A few more of those and I think I'd be able to make a Nendo comic strip! We just need a bedroom set now though a space ship bridge sounds more appealing to me for some twisted reason.

My 4th Freeing Haruhi bunny girl so I now have the set with the remaining three coming next month. Its a very long time want list item that I thought was out of my reach until I discovered the beautiful world of proxy services that opened up Yahoo Japan to me. Tsuruya-San's box is huge, actually all the bunny girl boxes are enormous.

I'm a pretty big Kos-Mos fan so passing up the Figma was realy not an option.

Another A3 plastic matt print, this one being from Infinite Stratos, a short mecha musume show that never really went anywhere, but I liked the characters.

Meet my new pet project. She's a Kos-Mos resin fig that I won on E-bay for only $100, but came with an average (read 7/10 quality# paint job that I am now fixing up after buying about $100 worth of Citadel Games Workshop paints and brushes #the value equation went out the window lol). I used to be a pretty pro Warhammer 40k figure painter in my younger day's and have been looking for something to use some of that talent with. Kos'Mos is a fantastic motivator. This might lead to me finally putting together all those HoiHoi-San Model kits I have in the cupboard.

Keeping up with all the non-standard releases like the 2p versions, which are limited to 1000 are a royal pain in the butt. And don't even get me started on the ones that only come with games. Still not sure if its just my addicted perspective talking, but they seem to be getting better and better quality wise or perhaps I just like the characters they are based on more?

I see a fair few floating around Yahoo Japan so if things fall through you at least have a chance to get one there otherwise you can wait for Mandarake to post some up for sale.

You know the freaky thing is the unexpected weight of each of those sets. They easily weigh the same as two regular nendo boxes but crammed into one.

Great collection, must have cost an arm and a leg but the real prob is displaying them all. i noticed u dont open ur nendoroid but then again u dont really have the space to display them.

The truth hurts oh so much, but I'm looking to fix that quite soon now with a renovation. All the shelves and tables will switch with some nice glass display's.

Its only really because of a lack of space. That and I really can't stand dusting my collection so am waiting for some glass cabinets prior to pulling them all out. Once I do the whole unpacking event I'll be uploading a load of photo's showing the carnage.

I'm missing a few of the most recent releases, but I do have stuff coming all the time. I just got Youmu from project Tao and Noumi came yesterday. I'll include them in my next loot post along with some tasty PVC's next month.
