If the current bid of 13250 yen doesn't go up much more then you can bid for this custom head at Yahoo Auction and then get yourself a base body for about 25000 yen - altogether will be cheaper than what Volks have to offer.

You're not planning to touch that student loans right? It's not a wise decision, unless you be able to repay back just in time before the new semester.
Yeah, student loans are for paying tuition/living, too often I see people buying iPods and such with them. And then I see my friends still paying student loans when they're nearly 40 years old.

That was a mis-type, the 1k yen was pulled back, and 10k yen offered instead.
Then again, it was a 7 day bid I think, so even if it had started at 1 yen it'd have ended up pretty high.
If I remember correctly, that was meant as a joke? Because the original bid time ends in minutes.

Fair enough.... however it would suck if you buy one of them and then somebody bids something insane on the other one so you have to give it up.
Besides it's somewhat naive to believe that bidding will not increase the price at an auction.

Don't like that headsculpt, sadly. Fate is still the only Dollfie that's ever come close to making me want one, so the Dollfie that I'll eventually buy MUST have a stronger appeal than Fate.

There are some really nice custom heads on Yahoo japan.. some of them defiantely go for an arm and a leg though.

I am VERY close to adopting...have resisted Dollfie so far, but when Moe and Natsuki come out, resistance will be at 0%. Moe is my future daughter. :3
It's sad how that's "cheap". :( No offense to owners of DD, but honestly, it's ridiculous the prices you pay. They aren't even resin.
I have both resin bjd and my dd and to be honest, my dd mean just as much to me as my resin bjd. A lot of resin bjd fans look down on dd (and obitsu's too) just because they are vinyl, that is whats most sad overall. Many bjd fans are so far up their own backsides and anything less then expensive resin dolls is worthless. I hate the attitude of alot of bjd collectors, its so unattractive.
You have to bare in mind that the blank dd head from volks IS very cheap. However this one has a custom face up by a well known and exceptionally skilled face up artist. You aren't just paying for the head here, you are paying fot the time, effort and materials of the artist and you are paying for a beautiful one of a kind product. Custom heads aren't just another head, they are individual works of art painstakingly created by the artist.
I've seen resin heads sell for hundreds before because of a custom face up, just because this is a custom vinyl head makes no difference at all. The art of the custom face up is worth whatever people want to pay, the original value or material of the head means nothing.
after owning both resin and DD I think I like the latter a lot more :P they feel less fragile and are way lighter/posesable ^^
Perhaps too poseable, wish there's a way to lock their limbs so they can stand still unsupported :X

Im on the VERGE of Adapting!!! im planning (-to buy-) nope i mean to adopt either Aoi or Yukino ,but then a again i saw some upcoming dollfie dream by volks Moe & Natsuki..Still having some credit cards & financial problems, so i hope ill adopt a daugther by the end of the year.
